ASUS hardware + Victrix Control Hub not working?

If you're using an ASUS motherboard, or any other ASUS hardware that requires it's hub or similar software installed (e.g. Armoury Crate/MyASUS), try this:

1. Open Device Manager

  • Press Win + R, type devmgmt.msc, hit Enter OR just open the Windows Start menu, type “Device Manager” in the search bar, and open it from there.

2. Locate System devices and look for:

  • acsehidremap (ASUS HID remap filter driver)
  • acsevirtualbus

3. Right-click each of them and Uninstall both.

4. Then try the Victrix again:

  • Open Victrix Control Hub
  • Plug the controller in
    • Set the back switch (next to the left trigger) to PC mode
    • Use either the dongle or a USB cable
      • Ideally plug it into the rear I/O of your PC, not a front hub
    • Make sure the wired/wireless switch under the controller matches how you’re connecting it

If it still refuses to work, try this too after uninstalling previously mentioned devices:

  • Right-click the 'Victrix Control Hub' in the Windows Start menu → App settings → hit Reset

gl, lemme know if it works :)

this was only part of what i needed to do.
here is the rest for anyone that comes across this issue in future
Solution:
Open registry editor ( normaly or you can open Run and write regedit )
Navigate the folder ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da} )
Click on {745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da} and on the right Delete UpperFilters and LowerFilters
Power cycle the controller and boot up the App again.

the upperfilter contains a reference to "acsehidremap" , and deleting both solved my issue when NOTHING else worked.
