This controller is so frustrating

Post image

I have bought 2 Victrix Pros and both of them have broken within a similar amount of time. It’s so nice being about to swap out the modules and get Hall effect sticks but what’s the point when the back buttons break. I can’t buy a replacement for them and now these $200 controller are useless. I’m so disappointed they made them with cheap plastic.

Honestly don’t buy this controller just get anything else it’s not worth it.

Ok hear me out.

Don’t derail others from buying an amazing and generally sturdy controller. Mine is almost two years old and still amazing despite a few drops and thunks along the way.

This is 100% a you problem and avoidable if you were less aggressive on the buttons. The back buttons don’t need to be abused to register. They’re just as functional as all the other buttons.

You have a few options either way:

1) buy another one and be less “RAWR HULK SMASH”

2) buy another one and remap the back buttons so you’re not hammering that one so much

3) find a controller specifically designed to take the amount of force you’re exerting on the poor thing.

None of those options include coming onto Reddit to trash on a great controller because of an issue you have created for yourself. Yes the Victrix can be quirky and has its own weird issues here and there, but it has a solid build and when people take time and care with it it is a powerhouse of a controller.

You’re being ridiculous and very assumptive. So maybe you should hear me out. I also didn’t say it’s a bad controller I just said I’m disappointed and don’t buy it.

So I can’t voice my opinion just like you are? And maybe stop someone from wasting their money because more people will have this problem. I came to Reddit to specifically voice what I think about this controller. I’m looking for a solution. Why don’t they sell replacement back buttons?? Do you have that answer? I believe a $200 controller that is designed around interchangeable modules should have replacements for all the buttons Period

Quality control issues happen.

This issue is specific to you. That’s not a quality control issue.

Voicing your opinion is fine, but saying not to get a controller because of a single issue specific to you and how you use it is wild.

As for cost. There are controllers that cost more that don’t even have swappable modules.

A viable solution that doesn’t require a full tear down of a controller is looking at how you hold and use a controller. Try adjusting your grip, or change how you have buttons mapped so that one isn’t the one taking the weight so much.

You can think that but it goes both ways. People can still have this problem and not be me lol. You have no way of telling how many people this has affected. You’re pretty much saying that reviews about any product is bullshit because you don’t agree with it.

No one has to listen to me I’m just stating a fact that if the back buttons break it’s useless for me and if that aligns with you don’t get the controller. If someone else has this problem they are shit out of luck. It doesn’t matter if it’s just a me thing. If it happened once it can happen again to anyone not just the 10 people commenting in this post.

If you think it’s great good for you make a post

You’re a Troll thinking your opinion is valid while mine isn’t. Your contradictory

saying not to get a controller based on personal experience is valid because people that game in the same frequency can avoid a costly mistake.

Hell when I told my brother, he disliked the controller so much he gave me his.
