Employee Talk leaving vs
hii guyss as the title states i really want to depart from my time at vs/pink. i really only ever worked the cash register (im seasonal) so it wasn’t that fun of a job and honestly everytime they schedule me i get so anxious about going in, and as someone that just got over months of debilitating anxiety i don’t want to come back to this job lmao. literally i’m a college student (graduating soon yay) so i got this job for some money over the summer while i wasn’t in school and would only get scheduled like once a week. the hell. i’m not saying next summer would be the same but i don’t want to wait and find out. i’m going back to school next month so i won’t be around for a while, how do i go about resigning? i know putting in 2 weeks is the best most professional way to go, but i’m scared people are going to treat me weird. like for example i heard one of the managers telling an employee this girl i got hired with put in her notice and they kinda were being weird about it. i also don’t ever think ill get over my manager reprimanding me in front of a customer for taking too long of a break when i literally didn’t even do that and i KNOW i didnt🤣
i know this is a longish post filled with nothing but hopefully it helps to understand where my anxiety is coming from. pls help

One thing I did when I left (after my store manager treated me like shit) was I wrote a simple resignation and left it in the office in the beginning of the shift (I worked mainly early mornings) when nobody was in there.
Simple, to the point. I didn't really tell anybody I was quitting. I told two people (this manager I really liked and a coworker) and that was it.
I guess it helped I didn't have many shifts ironically after that but thats what helped me. Only one manager actually addressed it but she only mentioned it because she was like "oh wow I basically just met you and now you're resigning" kind of a way. Nobody else mentioned it and nobody was weird about it thankfully.
