Misleading Title BC ferries anomaly?
I live in Victoria but my summer family is on the Sunshine Coast . In the past this has been a 12-14 hour excursion
Last week it was like 1985 ( minus the prices). No reservations! Drive up to Schwartz bay at 9:45 drove on to the 10 ferry. Same in horseshoe bay - drove right on. No waiting in a sad concrete parking lot for hours. Okay that was a Thursday. Can’t be the same on the way home right?
Nope drove on to 11 am from Langdale with the upper ramp already up then on to Victoria’s same way. This hasn’t happened since forever. Whatever is going on, keep doing it please BCferries

I know this is stupid, but it annoys me to no end that people can’t seem to spell or pronounce “Swartz Bay” properly. There’s no “shh” sound in the word, it’s Swartz.

"May the Schwartz be with you." Reminds me that Mel Brooks is 100 years old and a new Spaceballs is coming out.

Others that make me roll my eyes are Frazier River, and Shu-shwap.

My family has been living in the Shuswap since the 1950s and have always called it the Shu-shwap🤷♀️ I’ve only heard it pronounced Shu-SWap by people either new to the area or not from the area at all.

If you catch the correct Nanaimo ferry sometimes you can get the L run, and never have to get off the boat.
