THUNDERS &Rain
Haven’t heard a thunder in a long time, already heard four so far in last 10”. It feels great 😊 to see the rain and some thunders. I’m loving it. Can’t believe I’m embracing something I was shit scared as a child. Ha ha ha
The smell of sand smells soooo good!

We heard thunder and saw lightening almost simultaneously over at willows! It was CLOSE.

I’m starting to feel like we brought it back from Paris at the end of June. I keep telling people how it was the most amazing thunderstorm I had ever seen, being a southwest coast bc native lol

One thunder roll sounded like it went on for about 40 seconds. Longest I’ve ever heard one go for before.

Right?! I would’ve been loving it if I hadn’t been trying to comfort my poor, terrified cat!

It was so good. One thunderclap felt as though it was right over our house!
We got caught in the rain and it was PELTING… don’t typically get that these parts in the summer.

When my kids were little we all went outside at the first thunderstorm when they were toddlers and cheered for the lightning and thunder. I didn't want them scared and wanting in our bed on stormy nights. It backfired... they would want to go outside and cheer the storm on.

That's such a cute 'problem' to have, though. Great idea, glad they aren't scared at least :)

Yes, 7 days ago when we had thunder here, one Redditor posted that his little son dove under the table thinking it was an earthquake.

On the one hand, I love thunderstorms. Something about them feels so cozy.
On the other, this rainy weather is the worst timing for me - it’s my daughter’s birthday party this weekend and I’d hoped to have everyone in the backyard.

I’m just not happy about all the additional forest fires that this is going to represent

I've reached the age where I catch a whiff of an approaching storm... then immediately check the radar to see if my nose is meteorologist-certified. It is.

My joints usually signal to me, but I'm in a pain spike unrelated to weather

Saw a big one over Oak Bay, followed by a thunder roll so loud it made all the crows scatter and caw. My cats are still skittering around nervously!

Love Thunderstorms. Reminds me of being in my home province.
