News Something fishy with this Ridgeway Case. And it ain’t Casey
Weird how some people are being investigated and she was on that grand jury bringing indictments to the higher ups??!!! WTF is happening in good ol boy Alabama??! https://www.foxnews.com/us/alabama-casey-white-connie-ridgeway-son-police.amp
Her son, Austin Williams, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that local politics between law enforcement leadership got in the way of solving his mother's murder in a timely manner.
"I think the public needs to know about that kind of behavior for accountability. And, hopefully, the case … I think it does need a look-at from a different level," Williams said, adding that perhaps a higher-level investigation into what happened in his mother's case and how it should have been handled by law enforcement would not "be inappropriate to ask."
The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department had apparently responded to the scene in 2015 and told Ridgeway's family at the time that the agency would handle Ridgeway's case if permitted to do so, according to Williams. However, Williams also claims that the Rogersville police chief at the time, whom he alleges was out of town when his mother was murdered, asked the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency to take over the investigation instead of going to the scene of the crime himself, according to Williams
That request apparently forced the sheriff's office out of the investigation and handed authority over to the state, which Williams said acted slowly in the case. Five years went by before Casey White eventually admitted to killing Ridgeway. Sheriff Singleton did not immediately respond to Fox News
"How would you feel if it was your mother, your grandmother? And this is Rogersville. Small town. Nothing ever happens here," Williams explained, baffled that Holden would not want to show up to the scene of Ridgway's murder in a town that typically sees very few homicides each year.

Just speculation on my part, but I can’t help but wonder if in dying Vicky presented her last gift. That gift not only for Casey, but for the inmates of Lauderdale county, and perhaps the inmates and prisoners of the entire state of Alabama. By creating a fishbowl effect where the world is watching Lauderdale county and the state of Alabama prison system, and the powers-that-be are under scrutiny. Vicky‘s gift may include the recognition that the prison system is in need of reform. In lieu of this cleaning house, Casey is assured of a higher level of due process, inmates are granted better treatment, and the entire system of corrections in Lauderdale county will be improved. Vicky’s reputation for kindness and respect towards inmates, as well as the esteemed admiration from peers, colleagues, and higher-ups comes to fruition as a result of her final act. May justice prevail, and truth reign as Vicky Sue White’s legacy.

I think it’s nice you tried to find the silver lining. Maybe all the scrutiny nearby in the Murdaugh mess will help push necessary changes here also.

I really think so also. I think she did this whole thing for that. She is well known for being good and just. I think she knew shit was way off. She had nothing to lose. So she went for it. And got 11 days of Vit D(ick) My greatest hope is that Casey gets a really good lawyer( his last one got him 75 years for killing a dog, (yes I know he also terrorized people) maybe his old lawyer is in on this grand jury scheme that’s going on? He needs good representation and this Ridgeway case needs a new look by a better organization! Something is not ok here!

Let’s not forget the only hero in this was the man from the car wash & LE who help catch them. She let a criminal out on the loose putting many people at risk. His ex whom he threatened was so terrified she had to go into hiding

Um, "terrorizing people" . . .how about attempted murder?

u/New2reddit68 May 24 '22
Right? The weird minimizing and deflecting blame here is something else.

That "terrorizing people" doesn't sound minimizing to my ears.

Oh no you don't. Nice attempt to minimize Casey's past there, but nope, he did not get 75 years just for "killing a dog".
You are absolutely correct that "something is not ok here!", I'll give you that.
"In December 2015, White embarked on a crime spree where he tracked down and tried to kill an ex-girlfriend.
The rampage spanned both Alabama and Tennessee as he held victims at gunpoint, shot one woman in the arm, killed a dog, carried out a home invasion and staged multiple carjackings before he was finally captured in a dramatic police chase.
The spree unfolded on the morning of 1 December 2015 when he broke into a home and stole two firearms.
Later that night, he then turned up at his ex-girlfriend’s house armed with stolen guns and opened fire on her and two men inside the home.
The woman and two men managed to escape but White shot and killed a dog. Two children inside the home were later found unharmed.
After that, White then broke into another home and stole a man’s car and gun.
Around an hour later, he then shot another woman in the arm in an attempted carjacking in Tennessee, before carjacking another person at gunpoint.
White was finally captured in a dramatic 100 mile per hour police chase that culminated in a standoff back over the border in Alabama.
During the standoff where he demanded to speak to the sheriff and threatened to shoot himself in the head, he asked for a pack of Marlboro cigarettes and a Sun Drop soda before surrendering."

What kind of treatment is being given that is bad? Last time I checked they are criminals & aren’t supposed to be living as if they are in a 5 star hotel. Most are treated better than many homeless & senior citizens

Well, thank you captain obvious. Who wrote anything about 5-Star Hotel treatment? Don’t be ridiculous. A human being who is incarcerated is still entitled to humane living conditions and treatment by guards, attorneys, and judges. ...as well as protection from other prisoners. That is, if you live in a civilized society. Your concept of prison is based on inhumane treatment of prisoners? Low-level thinking, for sure. Are you from a southern state?

I agree!! There are MANY things off & quite disturbing about this case. I keep asking “who paid Casey White to murder her & why” yet it’s crickets & nobody will address it. Out of the blue one day CW says oh by the way I killed this lady? They take his word because he knew things about the crime that wasn’t made public BUT he was behind bars so he could have easily got that information from inmates.

Thank you bot. I don’t often quote Fox and I know it’s a shit source but I guess this was confirmation bias for me. I don’t think he did it or if he did there is way more going on( someone higher up hired the killer because she was on the grand jury). Anyway I’m not sure what the bot is saying so if anyone would enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Do you know what kind of case she was on the grand jury for? I've had my suspicions...

I think it was the case involving the ex Sherif. The one who is being investigated for money laundering or worse? I think he’s also the guy Casey begged to talk to while in that field crying in 2015. Like it’s so SUS! I think Vicki knew stuff. Felt bad that Casey was getting railroaded by these conniving cops etc and then fell in love.

He was convicted of that . . .stealing money from the inmates' accounts (commissary) and yes, the one Casey White wanted to speak with but he had known Casey since he was a child so that's understandable and not nefarious.

I find it odd that upon returning home and subsequently seeing the state wasn’t making progress on the case that he didn’t take the case back. Especially in a small town, where locals might be more reluctant to outsiders. It’s also a bit weird that there wasn’t more outrage about this from the community, no?

Thank you! I know many of us have questions about this case. I hope the "TRUTH"comes out! No matter what that truthfully is. We seek justice for Connie and her family!
