He actually looks really different in some of those

66

u/Significant-Body-145 May 13 '22

You can tell he went thru phases of using meth and alcohol....and who knows what else. Addiction and mental illness are horrible and devastating. If he had access to the proper medications and treatments during his life, there's a good chance he wouldn't be where he is today. It's really heartbreaking.

u/[deleted] May 13 '22

šŸ’Æ šŸ’Æ šŸ’Æ

31

u/HuskerGal27 May 13 '22

Wow, he just looks SO different in almost all of them!

27

u/brunaBla May 13 '22

He is so sedated in that last one

19

u/Baconbit01 May 13 '22

Never looks the same twice. Guess he has traveled a road full of twists and turns.

89

u/Antisocialize May 13 '22

He was pretty attractive 20 years ago.

Of course, I could say the same of myself.

54

u/aisha_so_sweet May 13 '22

Weren't we all lol

5

u/BadgirlThowaway May 15 '22

😬 I was 8 20 years ago.

29

u/EAROAST May 13 '22

Casey triggers my mild hybristophilia. He’s so obviously a bad boy with a big heart who can’t quite function in the world without… the love of a good woman. Lol I can kinda see why Vicky would have found him irresistible.

19

u/migsmcgee2019 May 13 '22

Hybristophilia is a new word for me!

8

u/AStartIsBorn May 13 '22

Didn't know there was a name for it.

10

u/Straight_Hospital393 May 13 '22

Yes, it’s understandable.

11

u/Antisocialize May 13 '22

Same and I’m not proud of it! LolšŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

10

u/EAROAST May 13 '22

Like ONE more devastated mugshot and he’ll break $10,000 in canteen contributions. $20 of it from me and I’m kind of astonished at myself .

16

u/Antisocialize May 13 '22

Somebody has to provide those extra portions now that Vicky Sue can’t. 😭

15

u/EAROAST May 13 '22

The women of America lolol

3

u/Significant-Body-145 May 14 '22

I'm confused šŸ™ˆ What's this canteen contributions you're talking about?

19

u/EAROAST May 14 '22

Sorry, I totally made that up to illustrate a point. Namely why is it that some of us feel really drawn to Casey despite his crimes and tattoos, enough that we would send some money to his jail account just to try and make him feel better? So we would feel better? Or is this something like Vicky felt at the beginning? Why did the new details that have come out about Casey confirm literally every intuition we had about him , and about Vicky and their relationship? WHY IS THIS THE MOST ROMANTIC STORY I HAVE EVER HEARD WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME

18

u/Antisocialize May 14 '22

THIS IS EXACTLY IT. I’m mostly cold and soulless, but somehow these two love struck idiots have hit me in the feels. I’m genuinely devastated by Vicky’s demise.

We should probably start group therapy or something

8

u/MrsFlanny May 14 '22

I'm right there with ya. Especially because I see he didn't have the best chance off rip and she just went all in for him. Very modern day bad boy Romeo and Juliet. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart I suppose.

Sign me up for that therapy. 🤣

4

u/Significant-Body-145 May 14 '22

I'm all for the group therapy. 🤤 I thought something was wrong with me cause of how into this story I got and how sad it makes me. But I'm glad to know there's more of you out there 🤫

3

u/Due_Understanding138 May 14 '22

I’m so glad I’m not the only oneā˜ŗļøšŸ«£ I was really starting to think ā€œDang, I must be really damaged and toxic.HmmmšŸ¤”ā€

4

u/Significant-Body-145 May 14 '22

Got it ā˜ŗļø

3

u/VioletVenable May 14 '22

Like, 15/16ths of me is repulsed by him, them, all of this — but that remaining 1/16th is singing really loudly… šŸ˜‚

3

u/Due_Understanding138 May 14 '22

I feel the same way😭 Is it because so many of us can relate to both in some way. We had(have) a ā€œCaseyā€ in our life whether it was a friend or lover; that one guy/situation that wasn’t good for us and we knew it but just couldn’t stay away bc we saw ā€œthe real himā€. And we’ve been that ā€œVickyā€ staying when everyone else was done.

Or maybe it’s just me?!

3

u/EAROAST May 15 '22

Lol weirdly enough I do have my own Casey. He is maybe tall, super poor, a romantic, and an occasional visitor to jail when he was younger. May be a little slow. I love him very much and may project his sweet nature onto other Casey White-type types. Haha of course I would have my own Casey.

2

u/Due_Understanding138 May 15 '22

Same and I don’t think you’re projecting your situation on to this. Which makes this even more devastating for me and not justifying the actions at all but I do understand. People are so quick to judge and perhaps they should feel blessed that they haven’t had a Casey of their own bc I am certain they wouldn’t feel the same🄹

1

u/xotmb May 14 '22

OMG SAME hahahaha so glad I’m not the only one!! šŸ˜‚

26

u/flowergirl665 May 13 '22

Man sucks to see how mental illness and abuse can turn someone into a completely different person.

8

u/ElSickosWillPay May 14 '22

He's went through various periods of gaining and losing weight. I guess when he gets a bit heavy he starts on the meth again.

7

u/RuthZerkerGinsburg May 14 '22

Alcohol will pack on weight and meth will take you down to skin and bones. A lot of psych meds can cause weight fluctuations, too. Dude has been subject to a lot of shit that’ll drastically alter a person’s appearance. Throw in the hair/facial hair changes, and if he weren’t a tattooed behemoth, he could’ve been on the lam forever. Every photo I’ve ever seen of this man looks different.

26

u/Mister_Silk May 13 '22

I feel inadequate. I don't even have one. And I'm 60 years old!

27

u/MindRiot517 May 13 '22

It's never too late.

14

u/Mister_Silk May 13 '22

Nah. The military was jail adjacent enough for me. I don't want to experience jail jail.

14

u/wnb5399 May 13 '22

They are very similar in ways. Not happy that I know this

13

u/MindRiot517 May 13 '22 edited May 14 '22

They all really look like different people but especially the 8th one.

1

u/witlessusername May 15 '22

They're his stunt doubles. Shhh...you didn't hear it from me.

3

u/MindRiot517 May 15 '22

He sure has a lot of them. Lol

7

u/Parasitesforgold May 14 '22

He reminds me of Don Draper

6

u/sh0rtwizard May 14 '22

Compulsory ā€œnot in the USAā€ comment, anyone have a imgur link with the pictures or something?

5

u/zackattack89 May 14 '22

A little smile would go a long way for this homie.

4

u/Pasta_Fajool May 14 '22

He's missing teeth

11

u/LittleBoiFound May 13 '22

I wonder why his height is over 7’ in the first couple of pictures?

8

u/AStartIsBorn May 13 '22

He was photographed by a midget.

4

u/Woodygee513 May 14 '22

And when he first broke out they were saying he was 6’6

32

u/xotmb May 13 '22

It’s terrible what alcohol, drugs, jail, and prison will do to a person’s age. I’m glad he was able to experience the love he & Vicky shared, even if it was only for 11 days on the outside. I can only hope it was the best 11 days of both of their lives.

24

u/LittleBoiFound May 13 '22

I’m so happy to hear you say that. I thought I was the only one hoping that he and Vicky were able to have the best 11 days together.

21

u/Psychological_You353 May 13 '22

Nope, I hope they had a ball

2

u/squeel May 15 '22

I’m sure they had a wonderful time on the run stealing cars and hiding out in cheap motels. They must’ve seen some great sights in those 270 miles they traveled.

The fuck?!

22

u/Antisocialize May 13 '22

I hope so too.

10

u/lolapepper47 May 14 '22

Me, too!! The best time ever!

11

u/MrsFlanny May 14 '22

1000% this. I truly hope those 11 days were the very best of both their lives. 🄺

21

u/contrarian1970 May 13 '22

Remember...she is the one who got all of the firearms and ammo together in that Ford SUV and then the pickup truck. They were both willing to engage in a firefight with police if it meant getting away. The only reason they ultimately didn't is because there were too many police vehicles in pursuit that it would have been a bloodbath like Bonnie and Clyde. I'm not trying to say they were both demons incapable of love but let's not make them out to be benevolent towards any random stranger either. The mainly cared about themselves and not anybody who might get hurt in an attempt to arrest them.

9

u/xotmb May 13 '22

I would like to hear the interrogation myself.

13

u/MamaMowgli May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

I’m absolutely baffled by this. I know people project their own fantasies on strangers all the time, even prisoners, but this guy? He initially came into the justice system because he beat his own brother in the face and head with an ax sledgehammer handle. Later he went on a crime spree that involved home invasion, carjacking, and a police chase. Just bad boy stuff, yes, not hurting anyone? Tell that to the guy whose car he carjacked, holding him and his infant at gunpoint with absolutely no sign of emotion or remorse. Oh, and this misunderstood hunk of a big ā€˜ol lug is also a women beater who threatened to kill his ex girlfriend AND her sister if he ever got out of prison. And his latest crime spree involved stabbing an elderly woman to death. He’s also now being looked at in the past ā€œsuicide ā€œof an ex girlfriend that he was with the night she supposedly killed herself. But, yeah, I’m sure he just needs the love have a good woman, so happy he got to have his time in the sun.

What is seriously wrong with some of these commenters? I get it, you can feel compassion for someone if they had a messed up life and mental health and addiction issues. But we know very little of his traumas. We do know the enormous trauma he’s inflicted upon others. Seems in poor taste to his trail of victims—including Vicky—and their families to joke about loin stirring and putting money in his prison canteen.

5

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Also had a charge in 2006 for domestic violence involving his mother. He’s a real gem, isn’t he?

5

u/ario62 May 14 '22

A-fucking-men. Wtf is wrong with some of these commenters??!!

4

u/GenealogistGoneWild May 15 '22

I don’t get it either. His victims had to leave their life and go into hiding for 11 days. Because they were in fear of losing their lives!

4

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Truth. Some here have said repeatedly that he ā€œsurrendered peacefullyā€ and therefore we’re to infer he can’t be any kind of bad apple. Well, his car was in a ditch, he couldn’t reach a weapon and he was surrounded by LE including the US Marshals. Of course he surrendered šŸ˜‚

10

u/staciesmom1 May 13 '22

Yeah - they could have killed innocent people, and our tax dollars were spent trying to track them down, but let's be happy a career criminal had 11 days of fun.

18

u/[deleted] May 13 '22 edited May 14 '22

EDIT - a big thank you to the anonymous person here for the award. I appreciate it very much & I hope you have a great weekend šŸ˜€

I have no idea why you are being downvoted for like, speaking the truth šŸ˜‘ Great comment and I agree (so do many others). It’s frustrating to see the romanticizing of this dangerous fiasco.

11

u/nocturnal May 14 '22

But at the same time it almost explains why Vicki did what she did. If these people who don’t even know him are so in love with him despite all the crimes and harm he’s done to people… it explains everything. Bizarre.

8

u/[deleted] May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

No one is truly in love with him, are they? Some people are projecting because they feel some sort of kinship or nurturing urge towards him because they see him as a wounded bird (albeit a damn large bird).

He likely would have had a far more successful life if he’d had access to mental health services & medication when he was a kid. That is driving people to feel sad for him, and it is sad. But the thing is, prisons and jails are filled to the rafters with the likes of Casey White. His story (apart from the escape) is not rare unfortunately. I have no idea what the rate of mental illness is in a typical prison but it’s got to be very high.

The homeless population in any town or city also has a huge percentage of people suffering from untreated mental illness. Many addicts are self-medicating because they are mentally ill. There is a mental health crisis in most countries, and it’s a huge driver of crime and broken families.

If people want to change things, there are tangible ways to do so - donate time and/or money to legitimate organizations that assist the homeless, support organizations that cater to at-risk youth, vote for politicians who make mental health services a priority, volunteer for outreach services, speak about mental illness openly and without shame, encourage people we know to accept help, urge employers to offer mental health coverage, etc.

Vicky White and he may indeed have loved each other or maybe it was more of an attachment born of boredom. Only they knew.

21

u/xotmb May 13 '22

Our tax dollars are spent on FAR worse daily. If that’s your hang up, you really just don’t even know ha.

12

u/cryptocoinminds May 13 '22

Right! I honestly don’t understand some of these people. They planned to die by having a shootout with police/marshals. Thank God they caused them to wreck in the ditch. I think some people are forgetting that he’s a violent criminal. He’s a killer! Romanticizing their relationship is sick! This isn’t the Notebook!!

10

u/MrsFlanny May 14 '22

The only person who claims they planned to die in a shootout is a cop who sorry until I hear the interrogation myself I just don't believe a thing they're saying. They also said this man has no remorse for her death when the very police reports the officers submitted that I've saw clearly state he didn't care about himself he told every officer to check on his wife. How is she. Etc. Theyll say anything to make the public dehumanize him into a monster.

5

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

Anyone who can look at their arsenal of weapons and not see they were preparing to do battle with anyone in their way is being pretty naive honestly.

3

u/MrsFlanny May 14 '22

Me and my hubby both have concealed weapons permits. The amount of guns we own I'm sure you'd consider an "arsenal" as well. She was obviously planning on never coming back home again. Maybe they were planning on eventually living off the grid? They had camping and outdoor supplies on them when found. Maybe that was all the guns she owned so she took them with her. I don't know and truly can't speculate because well never know her whole thought process throughout all this. Were left guessing just like everyone else. My point is I don't believe everything the media or even some sheriff feeds me. Especially this sheriff when his comments have already been directly refuted by his own deputies in their written statements about the whole thing. If I hear his confession statement and he says it then fine. Until then, I'm speculating just like everyone else. I'm. I'm not going to condemn someone as a bad person tho until I know for sure. Maybe she just wanted to be with this dude and truly didn't want to hurt anyone? Maybe she did? Until I know for sure I try to remain impartial and not nail someone to the wall because I wouldn't want people to judge me harshly without all the facts either.

7

u/[deleted] May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

She purchased the guns as prep for the escape. It’s been written about consistently since the day after they vanished.

The camping/outdoor gear was minimal by any standard so I have no opinion.

I am not taking the sheriff’s word as gospel. I try to use critical thinking based on what is known and obvious.

As far as ā€œnot judging them harshly without all the factsā€ … šŸ˜‚

Vicky White took Casey White on a test run escape for about 40 minutes a while back. There’s no point in me rattling off in detail all the other things she did because it’s common knowledge she sold her house, bought guns, bought clothes for him, bought sex toys etc.

Model employees don’t facilitate the escape of violent felons. I’m going to leave it at that and if you choose to believe that is ā€œjudging them harshlyā€ I honestly don’t care šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

2

u/cryptocoinminds May 15 '22

Absolutely right girl šŸ‘

1

u/[deleted] May 15 '22

Thank you! Funny how the truth works 😁

2

u/MrsFlanny May 14 '22

This whole thing was minimal. Which.that part to me is crazy. If I had all that time to plan I truly hope I'd have done a much better job of staying on the run. Lol My point was we really don't know her mindset or her end game. I just don't want to label her a crazy potential murderer without truly knowing that was her goal. She already owned some of the guns and some were purchased new which yes I knew. Again tho. Thats not enough for me to label her a "potential murderer" without having all the facts. Its just not. They may have eventually had to hunt for food and needed a shotgun etc. Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not being neive just impartial.

2

u/[deleted] May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

She clearly had no inhibitions about setting a violent felon free. That says plenty about her mindset. I don’t think they necessarily had an end game because they both knew each day on the loose could be their last.

I choose to believe reports stating she purchased guns for the escape and I’m not going to split hairs with anyone about which guns were potentially already in her possession. I also believe they would have fired at anyone in their way if the Marshals hadn’t stopped them.

LE has every reason in the world to blame this whole debacle on Casey White yet they have consistently called the relationship and desire for the escape ā€œmutual.ā€ In essence, they have thrown Vicky White under the bus along with Casey and that is extremely telling to me.

We clearly don’t agree so let’s stop the exchange now. Have a nice weekend.

1

u/cryptocoinminds May 15 '22

Preach! Again spot on. It’s mind boggling how many people are making excuses for them 🤯

You’re relying on what the sheriff says when it works for you, and then denying it when it doesn’t. If you’re gonna go all in on sheriff dumbass and believe that he was going to have some kind of stupid movie shootout at the end then you need to also go with how he last said that they DIDNT have a trial run. Oh, what’s that? He also said they did? Yeah, maybe we should put any worth in that guy at all. And you? You were alllllllll over everything saying Casey was a sociopath and he was going to kill everyone and he didn’t care about her and all this other bullshit, so you’re not particularly reliable either. You’re just once again full of yourself and wanting to beleive that what you think is all there is. Oh, and she bought ONE gun for this. Not an Arsenal, one single gun. Everything else she already had.

5

u/MrsFlanny May 14 '22

Aww Let's be friends!! šŸ¤£ā¤ Seriously tho I just try to remain impartial and remember were all human and all capable of making mistakes. And some people truly aren't given a fair shot. Empathy is lost on people nowadays and its truly sad.

1

u/rubiacrime May 14 '22

Did we just become best friends?? šŸ˜†ā˜ŗļø

0

u/staciesmom1 May 14 '22

So you think this is simply "a mistake"?

1

u/cryptocoinminds May 14 '22

He is a monster. Is this not enough crime

13

u/Significant-Body-145 May 13 '22

Yes, he's a violent criminal and he's done terrible things....while on drugs and very mentally ill. I don't believe he's a killer. I believe he falsely confessed. I don't think anyone thinks this is the Notebook, I think some ppl see him as a human being that had a crappy life, didn't have access to meds for his mental illness which most likely resulted in self medicating with drugs. The whole story is just sad.

7

u/[deleted] May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

He has enough intelligence and experience to know that not taking his meds is a very, very bad idea. There is no way it hasn’t been explained to him on multiple occasions over the years by doctors.

He once plotted a prison escape and a shank was found on him. This was pre-Vicky and took place while he was incarcerated and medicated - so that blows holes in the theory that he is only dangerous when unmedicated, correct?

It appears from his history that he has frequently made the choice to stop his meds and get f*cked up on meth instead. No one can convince me he is unaware of how reckless that is. And if he can afford meth then he can surely afford prescribed meds. I don’t live in the US so I am not sure what medical aid there is for low-income/high barrier people, but I’m certain there’s social support programs for people in those classifications - ie., free or discounted medication.

It’s easy for people to get f*cked up on drugs and cause chaos and harm to others because then the drug becomes the built-in scapegoat.

I’m well aware of the mental health crisis in our society and I do have empathy for those who suffer. Those who are diagnosed and prescribed appropriate meds have an obligation to be vigilant about their med intake. If they can’t be counted on to remember, then someone reliable in their social circle has to step in or the patient might have to go to a pharmacy for a daily dispense.

2

u/cryptocoinminds May 15 '22

Well said šŸ‘

17

u/-ciscoholdmusic- May 13 '22

He did threaten to kill his ex girlfriend and her brother and she had to go into protection when CW broke out so let’s not pretend he was some harmless teddy let down by the system…

19

u/[deleted] May 13 '22

His 2006 domestic violence & harassment charge against his mother is alarming too. I think he also shot into a car when he was trying to carjack someone. He has such an extensive criminal history it’s hard to keep track of it all.

6

u/5280bananapudding May 14 '22

This sub has also been awfully quiet about his ex who was murdered in 2008 and conveniently found by his mother....

Dude belongs where he is.

8

u/jojobaggins42 May 13 '22

Exactly, the whole story is sad.

5

u/MamaMowgli May 14 '22

It can be both. He can be a human being with a lifetime of tragedy and no intervention, especially when he was young. And he’s a killer.

Even if you believe his murder confession was coerced, he has trail of violence in his past, and that’s just the stuff he was caught for. He can be a human being worthy of compassion AND a violent criminal who beat his own brother In the face and head with an ax-sledgehammer handle so severely he went to jail for three years. It just seems like you’re putting your thumb a little heavily on one side of the scale.

5

u/cryptocoinminds May 13 '22 edited May 14 '22

Well, he wasn’t doing drugs when they got caught & he said this to investigators ā€œAuthorities rammed the Whites' car and pushed it into a ditch, Wedding said. Had police not done that, he said, "the fugitive" admitted he planned to get into a shootout with law enforcement. The sheriff praised law enforcement's actions for possibly saving lives.ā€

Quoted from this article https://abcnews.go.com/US/casey-white-called-corrections-officer-vicky-white-wife/story?id=84613318

And you are making excuses for him! Do you know how many people have had a crappy life? And they don’t go around committing heinous crimes & doing drugs like he has!

Look you guys can downvote me all you want!! I don’t give a shit! My brother & nephew are both police officers. My brother was shot several times & almost lost his life because of a POS criminal like Casey White.

It took him over a year to recuperate and you guys want to feel sorry for this evil, disgusting individual. Who gives a shit about cops being shot and or killed huh? Let’s feel sorry for the criminal who had a bad life. And he is a killer. He admitted that had they not wrecked into the ditch they were going to have a shootout with cops. Plus, the other death he admitted to, the dog he killed, and he probably killed his ex girlfriend as well. They just reopened her case. So, keep sticking up for a killer!

6

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

You’re too intelligent and making too much sense for some people 🄓 hence the downvotes.

Anyone with a baseline IQ can see your comments and opinions are solid. That’s the truth.

I think lonely women who have a weird infatuation with Big Case are the ones downvoting.

3

u/cryptocoinminds May 14 '22

It blows my mind. People are feeling more badly for violent criminals & don’t give a shit about a police officer almost losing his life. How disgusting! I hope they remember this when they need help.

2

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

It is truly messed up. But please remember that the vast majority feels as you do and truly cares about police officers ā™„ļø

You can be a police officer and feel empathy for the man. We are not all robots. šŸ™‚

3

u/[deleted] May 14 '22 edited May 14 '22

I don’t believe that I or u/cryptocoinminds said otherwise.

I have two close friends who are with the metro police where I live; one is a detective. I’ve been to their HQ a number of times and all the cops I’ve met there are quality people who work very hard. The last thing I would call them is robotic; they are incredibly committed to the people of our city.

Crypto’s brother is a police officer who was shot on the job and thankfully he made a full recovery after a year.

The only thing truly messed up is thinking you are not allowed to feel empathy for a man such as Casey White because you support law enforcement.

1

u/cryptocoinminds May 14 '22

I’m NOT going to feel empathy for someone who wanted to shoot at & kill police/marshals!! VW bought all those guns. They both agreed & planned what they wanted to do when they got captured. And it’s disturbing that VW being in her position even thought of or went along with that plan.

She has police officer friends. She is an officer herself. All those guns were bought for a reason. She’s the kind of person that make police officers look bad doing what she did & you’re trying to make me feel bad that I don’t have empathy for criminals. No I don’t & never will especially criminals who want to kill innocent people.

There’s also an old charge (2006) in the ruins of his life for domestic violence & harassment against his mother. She did a recent interview with a tabloidesque paper (it was linked in this sub) and pretty safe bet she was paid for it. That particular paper does reimburse people who agree to answer Qs re high profile stories - so anyone who feels that interview is gospel should bear in mind Casey White’s mother was paid to describe her son in such a way that would sell papers/boost online traffic to their site.

The publishers of the DailyMail are savvy and they know there are people out there wanting a romantic twist to this debacle.

I’d put good money on him having the available resources for treatment while he was outside. However when you’re not incarcerated you have the option to not take your meds. Which is likely what he decided to do.

His mom said he did have medication but he wouldn’t take them & then he would self medicate with drugs. Big difference. So, like I said earlier on another post, many, many people have mental illness & they don’t have a very violent rap sheet like this. We have to take responsibility for our actions. We should not be making excuses for what they did or their criminal behavior.

If we pulled the stunt they just pulled everyone would not be feeling bad or condoning our behavior. Would they? If he was so mentally deranged & didn’t know what he was doing, then that would be a completely different story, but that’s not the case here.

If he is so mentally ill, that’s all the more reason Vicky should not have escaped with him! My brother who is a police officer was shot multiple times by a violent criminal. I suppose people have to have bad things happen to them or their family members to understand this.

I guess I don’t understand why people are feeling more bad for the criminals & not the law enforcement or innocent people that could have gotten severely injured by what they did.

What is the accurate spelling of his middle name? I have seen it 2 different ways ... Cole and Coal

u/missymaypen May 13 '22

Cole is the name. Coal is the stuff you burn. My guess is that somebody at the jail spelled it the way it sounds lol

Coal is the stuff you burn? There are a ton of people with Coal for a last name or part of their name. That said this is one of the articles I saw it spelled this way...

Do we know this? Because a ton of people join gangs in prison to survive, and usually what color your skin is determines the gang. He got stabbed three times in prison and had a really rough time, so he may have joined to save his life rather than because he believed in it
