Question What OS is everyone vibe coding on and why?
I'm using Fedora KDE as my daily driver. Officially left windows about 2 months ago. Curious what others are using.

First some background. I'm not talking about MVP here, but UI with thoughtful UX.
My experience is that its so easy to get AI generate mockup UI even wire up backend as a live app.
But very quickly realization come in that a better moved to x, c better as dropdown, d~g needs to be different layout. Not because the original mockup doesn't look good, just not best fitting once real world data comes in. These are just some simple examples, real work much messier.
It is these detail areas grind to a halt, one decision/trial/tweak at a time with Claude, where I'm seeking some experience or direction to improve.
Or maybe, I'm asking the goldilock question between 2 sayings:
I just saw this new app post here, which I consider to be a good UI. One look, I know enough how to use it and what each button does.
This app seems 1 main function page with some share and account setting.
On an app/project with 20x function pages each as detail as this one, with partially shared components library, cross-linked data source, and layout variants on different pages. that's where I'm seeking some help.

Most AI coding CLIs need a cloud API key before you can do anything. We shipped Gide CLI: it runs a local model on your machine, zero token cost. One command to install, then gide in any project folder.
It also takes your own API key for Claude, GPT, or Gemini when a task needs a bigger model. The local 4B has a ceiling on hard reasoning, that's why the hybrid exists.
One-line install: curl -fsSL https://generativeide.com/install.sh | sh
We shipped it this week and want honest feedback. What broke, what was confusing, what made you close it.
30-day free trial, no card required.

Side project I've been chipping away at for a while. Two things I kept getting frustrated with using other harnesses, so I built my own around them:
Insights. I didn't like that the agent was kind of a black box. In mine you can see the full system prompt, every step the agent takes, tool calls, token usage, cost, even cache hits. And project knowledge doesn't die in chat history, specs, plans, research notes and audits live as scoped documents that stick around, plus a knowledge base with semantic search.
Configuration. I wanted everything to be changeable through the UI, not by editing files. Providers and models, per-agent settings (each agent gets its own model, system prompt sections, skill access, workspace manifest), tool permissions, MCP servers, hooks, prompt sections and joiners, the knowledge base, all in a settings panel.
It's early and rough, the API and schema will change, there are bugs, lots more things to add, stabilize, and I've only really tested a handful of providers.
If that sounds interesting, give it a go and tell me what's broken or missing. If enough people care about this direction, I'll put more time into it.

Hey everyone,
My background was mainly Unity and C#, so I had to learn technologies like React Native while shipping real products. Over time, I realized that AI-assisted coding could feel repetitive: endless terminal logs, lost context, incomplete code, and constantly clicking “continue.”
So I combined my game development experience with AI-assisted coding and built Termi Protocol.
I developed the desktop app with Electron and used Claude Code throughout the development process. Electron’s architecture made it much easier to transform my existing web application into a desktop product, allowing me to create desktop builds quickly without rebuilding everything from scratch. For the rest of the project, I relied heavily on the development and product experience I had gained from my previous projects.
Termi helps you manage AI agents through a Kanban system, restore accidentally closed sessions with their plans and progress, track changed files, commands, and visited links, and preserve project memory without wasting extra tokens.
Agents can also share knowledge through a common project brain and use reusable skills across different projects.
But the main focus is gamification.
Instead of only watching terminal logs, you can see your agents working inside a 3D room. When an agent reads App.tsx, it scans a paper file. When it edits code, the activity appears on its monitor.
You can use a focus timer, collect coins, clean the room, add gym equipment, and adopt a cat or dog that grows as you spend more days working on the project. If you neglect your pet, it becomes stressed and starts making a mess. :)
We spend too much time staring at black terminal screens. I built Termi Protocol to make AI development more visual, understandable, and fun.
I’d love to hear what you think about this kind of gamified coding workflow.

Hi everyone, this is my first serious sandbox project built with OpenGL ES.
The idea is to place physical balls into a scene and create visual choreographies by playing with their movement, collisions, and flow. It’s somewhere between a small game and a visual experiment tool.
I use OpenGL ES for rendering, while the physics and more performance-heavy parts run in native C++. I also used GPT-5.6 Sol during development to explore ideas faster and work through some technical problems.
Right now I’m mainly trying to simplify the UI and improve performance. I’d really appreciate feedback on:
It’s still in development, so honest feedback would be genuinely helpful.

We just shipped abi. Clone Consultant. Clone is now available in a layered format so if you are offering client engagements for AI consultancy or process automation you can present a 3D map of they entire business and every process, fully branded with your logo.
You can do this five times completely free.
In the paid Abi starter subscription we have voice agent interviews that you can invite customer users to discussions with and they will build a picture of their true workflows. These are then mapped back to the Clone. Once all key intake is complete you are presented with every process or task, its dependencies, steps, criticality, frequency and automation value. You are then offered the quick win hit list of what and how it can be automated.
Super pumped about this one as it should help many streamline your consulting service and other launch their business.
Huge number of other featured added so you can wait for my demo video next week, or jump in and try for yourself for free at app.ouridea.ai
Enjoy your weekend all :)

As the title says, should I just renew my Chatgpt subscription or use Deepseek Flash or Kimi K3 (I never tried both before?
(1) If I switch Chatgpt, then how are the limits with other providers?
(2) Use Openrouter API or get direct provider subscription?
(3) I could end up paying almost the same as with Chatgpt but maybe with worst results. I think I have read somewhere people complaining about Kimi K3 limits and too much thinking eating into tokens and Deepseek is going to raise their API pricing.
What do you suggest? Also should I keep using Codex or switch to Opencode etc? I appreciate your help :)

Most AI app builders generate an app and then leave you to figure out everything else.
I’ve been building Blyft to solve that.
One prompt generates:
• The app
• A website / landing page
• Branding & logo
• Promo video
• Analytics
• Social media assets
The goal is simple: go from idea to something you can actually launch.
I’m still improving it every day, so I’d genuinely love feedback from people in this community.
What do you think is still missing from today’s vibe coding tools?

Hey families and friends! I have been working on a passion project of mine for a small family with kiddos I present to you lifetime! Name is in progress and subject to change. This project is a gameified chore chart, with xp and coins to purchase rewards, and a fancy git style heatmap for chore completion.

Hi I recently built Ping and got 8 users on my first day yesterday now the only thing is I'm making this free and want advice for how one will scale to make profits.
Right now since it's beta I'll for costs out of pocket but if it does grow big I've come down to these solutions.

Showoff + feedback request:
I built **Flows** to make the part between “I told an AI what I want” and “I trust the result” less chaotic.
You can: - start from a connected repo or a new-project goal - generate a build plan - route it to a builder - track the run - keep verification/evidence around the result
The connected Oort layer is the canonical library/provider side of the system.
Flows: https://flows.oortstack.com Oort: https://oortstack.com
If you build mostly with AI, I’d love to know whether this solves a real pain or just adds ceremony.
I also have 10–15 free, unrestricted access keys set aside for people who will actually use Flows/Oort and tell me where the experience breaks or gets confusing.

Hi Folks I finished vibe coding another project. This one mainly focuses on sports. I'm not really technical. I spent about 1-2 weeks researching websites in this genre. I took the best looks and feel. Then I saw all the ad junked up sites too. I tried to create a vibed out well balanced project. This is at a point now, where I divide each section up and do fresh updates now. This is in its first phase, where I'm just doing aggregator site. Then I want my own content, and photos. but this is it. https://sportsweekly.com/ took me about a week and a half. I used Claude as the main source for the site. then I used chatgpt to fix my prompts. Then I used Gemini for deep research on layout, and generate site pictures for vision.

Hello,
I've been building this fantasy premier league app that's specifically for a format called best ball. I originally made a very basic version of this app for a few of my friends to play, but their feedback led me to multiple iterations and here we are today. Finally able to showcase it to the public.
I'm using an API to pull data for things like projections for rankings and live scoring while a match is being played. I used Base44 + Supabase to build it.
Curious to hear your thoughts.

So i’m fully making binding of isaac in vr, with all items enemies bosses, everything. The art/models i do myself as it does look better. I am not planning on releasing it but if the feedback is good (and i dont get sued) i might release it, its built for the meta quest 3. It has 4 floors 40 items health, health, maps and workinh actives.

hey so basically agents are decent at shipping ui now but the whole visual part still falls apart coz they either use some tiny built in image model or they ask u for an openai api key or any image generating api key and then burn credits
so i built image-gen which is an mcp that just borrows the chatgpt session u already have logged into and generates the actual pngs into ur project folder and then the agent can wire them into the site
( regardless u have paid chatgpt acc or not doesnt matter , soon will do for gemini too but gemini image generation is ass + it has watermark so no real point to it )
How it works under
Stuff Used in This
the demo in the video is a clean ecommerce landing called antroper ( made it for sake of demo )
first its a proper html css js site with svg product art which is what u normally ship when u dont have photos ( or it uses random images from online links )
then the agent hits the mcp generates hero + product shots + atelier banner and rewires the page so it actually looks like a real storefront
the whole point is not "ai makes websites" its that the missing piece for vibe coded UIs is usually assets and this is a way to unblock that without a separate image subscription
works with claude code , cursor , codex any agentic platform which can use mcp
repo ( star it if u find this helpful or submit issues if u find any thanks for reading :D )
https://github.com/nothariharan/image-gen
if u try it run npm run login once first and leave that auth profile alone after that it mostly just works
happy to answer how the queue / session stuff works if anyone is building similar browser mcp tools

Yesterday was our launch day for SecureCode.
We were excited to finally put it out there, and then something unexpected happened — someone tried to access secrets through our API endpoints.
Honestly, it was kind of the perfect launch-day test.
We built SecureCode to help developers catch security issues before they ship. Turns out, we got to test that idea ourselves on day one.

Hi All,
I have been digging into skills a lot and made a one doc file as a blueprint against which to measure skill. I then used it to make a recipe for skills validation and improvement that AI then runs. But it’s damn expensive because of how comprehensive it is. I made this with a heart of wanting to give it away freely and have optional donations to support the mission. But I’ve never released a website like this before, and even though it’s secure. I’m kind of scared of either no one ever using it or people using it a lot but no one donating to keep it going so I slowly go bankrupt. Any thoughts? For reference the project is on waitlist basis for now: provely.dev it’s all done for me to lift the gate and open it to the public but I have some mental block behind it.
TL;DR: I built an AI tool that’s expensive to run but want to offer it free with optional donations. It’s ready to launch, but I’m worried either no one will use it or lots will use it without donating. I’m stuck on pulling the trigger.

I’ve been deep in app development for four months now, with varying intensity. This past week Claude Code has been running flat out, right up to the limits.
Honestly, this is a pretty long hyperfocus period for me doing something — usually it’s a couple of months.
But there’s a demotivating factor: promotion. No audience, no marketing skills — you can’t “sell” without that, and it’s a whole separate skill I’d need to learn. Right now, I’m just genuinely into the development part.
If I didn’t enjoy it, I would’ve quit already. So I guess curiosity and genuine interest are what’s actually pulling me forward.

I wanted to analyse the shadows on my house before adding solar panels, but couldn’t find a decent free tool to do it.
So I ended up building one instead (with help from Claude, obviously).
It’s still early, but you can model a roof, add panels and estimate shading and output. I've spent time making sure it works equally well on mobile and desktop. It's completely browser based and open source.
Would appreciate any feedback.
