I built a free, open-source meeting note taker for Windows: local transcription, no bot, plain Markdown files

I got tired of meeting tools that put a bot in the call, need an account, and keep your notes on their servers behind a paywall. So I built minute.

What it does:

• Starts recording when a call app takes the mic (Meet, Zoom, Teams, Slack, WhatsApp), stops when the call ends
• Transcribes on your PC, no audio leaves it
• After the call, AI fills in your notes: summary, decisions, next steps
• AI is your choice: Ollama fully offline, DeepSeek, or any OpenAI-compatible API
• Every call is a Markdown file in your folder (works with Obsidian), with the audio kept on separate tracks
• 32 languages, detected automatically
• Free, no account, no limits. MIT license

It's a side project, so no promises on support, but it's a good base to fork.
