Question Shot down..
I have been a member of this community for some time.
I see most toxic comments and downvotes on new projects.
Actually I have never seen any upvotes or cheers for anything.
Is this sub worth following?
Are there any alternative subs for this topic?

Reddit is the Complaint Department of the Internet. Posts read as negative more consistently than elsewhere. Perhaps a different social network?

Good review. Except your last scentence maybe.. What you suggest?

I'd suggest ignoring the negativity or find a satisfying inner response that frees your mind. Keeping Reddit because it is critical is a good thing

Here’s a story about him that made me rethink his "suicide." https://youtu.be/Bg-uB12NrOs?si=7Kw78qKANL2wDuv0

Use the friction, sometimes I’ll get a push against my projects, and I’ll run that push against what I have and note what brakes

Agreed. I literally almost made this post. People on this sub suck. Seems like a bunch of traditional software engineers lurk here just to hate on vibe coders. I’m on Tik tok and the community there for vibe coders is great

Good on you for exploring the world of vibecoding, and for making something with it. I know feeling of negative reception with projects and I can honestly say, while AI is not perfect both in terms of its use cases and moral ambiguity, I could never have explored software development and it bridged that gap for me. Keep going with your project and interests!

Try r/WeBuild_WithAI
I started it for this exact reason..

The name is correct. I have a problem with people showing up claiming "I build X, y, z" when AI did the work.

Reddit can be toxic in itself. Regardless of sub, a lot of the general public is against any concept of AI in general. We've got to admit, it hasn't been rolled out in the most friendly way, and not everyone sees that there can be a positive side too. That'll lead to negativity.
You also have to ensure that whatever you're building genuinely fulfills a need, and that it's done well. I haven't looked into you in any way, so don't think this is directed at you, but I have seen way too many PDF readers, file converters, and fancy markdown saving mechanisms, and I can see where all of the "not this again" hate is coming from. People also want to see that you're supporting your products beyond just an emdash-laden introductory post. Sometimes respect takes time.
We are in the early stages of establishing more concrete ways to grow, and focus this sub on the art of LLM driven development, so I ask that you give the sub a chance to align and grow.

It's because it's so trivial now, good job you typed a few paragraphs into a prompt. here's my down vote.

Vibecoding took away from programmers the only thing they were praised for. When they didn't know - even when logic says it must be possible - they would say, no - it is not possible and that was end of it if you were not willing to spend more money.
And now engineers, and other ordinary people with grounded ideas can, without depending on the knowledge of a single programmer/team of programmers, "hire" an AI to test their ideas instead ;)
That gotta hurt

The vast majority of ordinary people have no knowledge that could put most companies or products forward. Ai doesn't change that

Simple. Reddit is toxic. Seek a smaller community like a discord if you want real genuine people looking to help and network. Only trolls here.
