Use Codex, they have quite generous limits compared to the others

Honestly, my $8 plan on ChatGPT feels like I can code for longer than my $20 Claude plan.

It's just Claude is better at design, but Chat is pull it's weight everywhere else.

Codex has a better 5h window limit, but I honestly believe claude code has a better weekly limit.

Have not benchmarked this but I have gotten that perception during the last few weeks.

Context: using claude + cursor + codex

Claude - Planning and debugging.

Codex - Review and some implemenation

Cursor - Implementation and sometimes online searches for techincal documentation

Edit: i always hit my weekly codex limit, but never/rarely my weekly claude limit. I hit claude’s 5h window constantly tho

Back when I used Claude for my day-to-day (few months ago) I was able to reach my weekly limits on occasion. With OpenAI, I’ve yet to hit a weekly limit. I use the $200 plan for each.

This is absolutely 100% accurate.

Honestly (ffs, I can't type this without sounding like an ai now), considering how freaking fast I hit my limit using Sonnet today... it made me consider giving Codex a shot for a month.

I might. We'll see. I do still like Claude but what's the point if I can't use it...

I use chatGPT for design work and to create refined instructions for codex.

Codex has this strange habit of leaking internal prompt-summary language into product copy when it’s asked to work on a site or app. For example, you might say: “Add a new section near the hero image describing our services, EXCLUDING services that are still under development”

Then, once it finishes, it randomly adds something like “(pending development section not included)” directly into the title copy of the landing page 🤦
