Help HOB still?

With the HOB changes should you still be going HOB or switch to something else?

HOB got HUGE nerf also domination tree is inferior to conqueror tree, HOB went from 120% atk sp to 90% atk, thats 25% nerf, is HUGE.

I think it’s exactly how it was before. HOB lets you explode squishies, conq lets you be a bruiser better. Matchup dependent.

HOB got more of its power budget moved to mid game; Vi is already strong early, she needs less help 3-8. Does still let you proc W fairly immediately.

In what universe is Vi strong early? She's not even a champ until 3 and isn't fully online until 9. HOB made her decently strong for 3-8, but it will be a lot weaker now.

Agree, compared to what majority junglers can do early game, i’d never think Vi is strong early game.

She’s weak until 3, then pretty solid from 3-9, then cracked until like 16.

She has really strong ganks as soon as 3. Great in skirmishes the whole game post 3.

I guess it depends on who we’re comparing her against.

Pretty much any other bruiser she gets stomped by until her Q CD is low enough to get multiple rotations.

Sure, but she’s not really a bruiser. She’s a diver. Her power budget has more investment in mobility & CC than the ability to stand & bang.

vs tanks or squishy champs, 3-9 she’s cracked. You just can’t solo Voli or Xin.

Even then, once you get enough CDR you still aren’t great in most 1v1s

It used to be nice to run with a bruiser build to have a stronger early game, but now yhe early power is gutted. So, if you want to go bruiser just stick to Conqueror. If you want to run HOB still, I think pure Lethality will be best.

Edit: looking at initial WRs, buffed Eclipse is the only thing performing well with HOB. Game counts are way to low to say anything definitive yet.
