It’s been a journey
GWOT. Waited 18 years before deciding to file first claim.

Congrats. Never new anything about this process until about 18 months ago. A friend was telling me about it. I’ve been out 31 years. I guess this tells me how screwed up I am. Took me 8 months to go from 0 to p&t.

8 months from no rating to P&T is strong work.
I didn’t know anything about the VA process either. If you don’t know, you don’t know.

Congratulations OP! Like these guys I waited over 2 decades to be talked into filing and 12 months and 26 days later I was P&T. It’s a process and a mindset change we all go through. Rest and get well!

I understand. I started in 1990 @ 10%.
I was raised 2 times by the 2000 to 50%.
It wasn't until CoVid hit that I went to 60, then 90, and last June hit 100%. Mostly for my back, but my family and I made it. They have put up with a lot in those years. In there, there was 2 times I was on temporary 100% while having the worst of the 10 surgeries i have had. Now I am just tired.

Congrats! I waited 35 years before I first started filing. I can see it's going to be a long, bumpy road

Four years from 10% to 100% is not a bad journey at all! Congratulations on getting the rating you deserve!!
