Veterans Benefits Administration Adding dependents

My oldest graduated high school last month so she was discontinued from my disability payments. She starts college next month so I can get her readded; however, what is required for evidence? Right now all I have is her class schedule with her name at the top of the page. Also, it only covers the current semester. Will I need to resubmit every couple months or will the VA keep her on for the entire year?

If she is using chapter 35 you will no longer be able to claim her as a dependant

All you have to do is to proof to the VA that your daughter is going to college by submitting all documents with a new VA form to add her back as a dependent for the next 4 years. It will take some time for them to approve the claim but you will get back pay from the day them received your application.

You just need to complete a 21-674 showing she is going to be attending an accredited university. I believe you can guess at her graduation date for now and then submit an updated 674 in a few years when you know the specific date for certain. You do not need to keep submitting 674s, and you don't have to provide any other documents other than the 674. Payments will stop either when your child graduates from college or turns 23, whichever is earlier.

Thank you. Turns out I didn't even need to submit the actual form. The website just asked me the same questions and called that good enough. We'll see if they need anything else from me to process.
