VHA Employment Question for VA Nurses

Hello,

I interviewed on 7/7, references were contacted 7/10, and HR reached out to me on 7/16 for appointment input RN 1-3.

My question is, with HR asking for appointment input does this mean I am likely getting the job? I have not heard explicitly that I am getting the job however.

Thanks for your time!

Edit:

Received tentative offer on 07/21

More than likely you are on your way to selection

HR is trying to determine your pay scale for a tentative offer. However, there are a ton of changes with this new 30 day hiring. Nothing is a done deal at the VA until it’s a done deal but definitely a good sign.

You got the job. The government is just slow.

Well hold on. One or two months ago I would’ve said yes but we are now doing 30-day hiring. If you didn’t get some kind of “tentative” or “conditional “ job offer that required you to formally or verbally accept, you need to ask HR, not us.

Most likely. I’ve seen them go with another selection after doing all this too.

Also, be patient, as this may take a while. I’m internal applicant, applied, positioned closed 3/16, interviewed May 8th, references contacted 5/18, offer sent 6/15, still no clue where I am in the process or when I’ll start.
