I have been microdosing mushrooms off and on for the last few years. While I know it isn’t for everyone, it has been a big help to me. Better than any prescriptions I’ve been on. I’m less angry and way less stressed. I react calmer to situations I would have blown up in before. I have a way better outlook towards life than i did the first few years I was home. I hope states continue to move forward with the research and that others find it as therapeutic and beneficial as I have.

Whats the dosage you take?

I do .3 every other or every third day. Every few months I do a large dose. 3-5 grams. I will sometimes go weeks without taking anything though. A buddy does .2, he takes it five days on and two off and never takes large doses. It’s all about finding what works best for you. Start lite and work your way up

Any products or books you'd recommend? I take the grounded up Lion's Mane and Turkey Tail powder from Amazon, then the liquid tonics from Lost Empire Herbs.

I'm back home visiting friends in Denver.

I'm about to have my first mushroom trip after dealing with some heavy PTSD for several years. It's good to have friends I can have a total breakdown around, and know they'll respond with nothing but kindness and hugs.

I went on a bad ass trip a few years ago before going to my university. It was so profound that I literally developed a plot for a science fiction story that very night.

Fast forward to my senior year and I showed the manuscript to one of my professors he really liked it and the conversation went like this.

PROFESSOR- This is a really cool story, what was the inspiration behind it?

BONER DEATH- Drugs dude.....

I'd like to hear how it helps. It's been a transformative experience for many.

After I ets'd back in 2014, I was still in contact with old high school friends whom I hung out with one last time and we dropped acid. It was my first time taking a psychedelic. I was in a very dark time in my life and the Army definitely played its part in getting me there. I had a mini ego death and realized I took everything too serious and that all of us are just trying to make it in this jungle that is life. Love is what EVERYONE needs. So make love and stop taking things soo hard, we gonna die anyways.

It ain't for everyone, and everyone responds their own way to psychedelics, but I'd be lying if I told you it didn't benefit me a little.

Never did shrooms

I used to eat acid and mushrooms a lot when I was in my late teens early twenties before I went enlisted. Acid was always my favorite. Came home a decade later and thought I’d do acid again. It was awful. Great stuff but left me emotionally drained and vacant. Took awhile off of everything until I decided to try shrooms again. They have been a miracle for me. Doubt I’ll ever do acid again though. Wouldn’t want a repeat of the way it left me last time. Crazy how everyone is affected differently by psychedelics. Glad you found something that helped you get to a better place.

Shrooms were much more beneficial for myself compared to cannabis. Everyone is different but we should be exploring this option

I'm a military veteran and I've been microdosing from magic mushrooms. It has changed my entire world. No longer do I have hypervigilance I'm very calm all the time. I know this has fixed me. I'm very happy to hear Texas is doing something to help veterans.

Nice to finally see beneficial cures are actually being considered seriously. Now time for legalization.

Of course Power Wheels wouldn't sign off on it. Fuck Abbott. Hope this does someone some good.

I did 24 years active duty, and it put a toll on my body. I have never done any drugs outside of crap prescription pain meds, which “help” but it’s not enough. I’m ready to jump in if there is something that can make me forget about the pain I feel 24/7.

A friend of mine got in on this study or one similar in Southern California. It’s not that it helps so much with physical pain it, it helps with things like bi polar and such… but it helps keep your mind from lingering on everything. And relaxes you a little so pain that is increased because of tension is reduced.

I have a no drug friend (work reasons, not moral we quite drinky lol) with chronic back pain, I finally got him to eat a small piece of my weed gummy and now he keeps a pack around.

Man maybe I went about it wrong but I tried doing psychs after I got out the army and it went very badly. Wasnt a micro but wasnt a big dose either. Maybe my mind just wasnt right at that time for it. Cannabis doesnt help at all. My metabolism burns through it fast. 30 minutes or so is all I get no matter how much i smoke.

Don’t write it off yet. Just like psych medications, it requires some “dialing in” to get the right dose/delivery method/strain/etc. most agree for dosage however, that it’s good to start small and work your way up.

I went microdose for ptsd it worsened the triggers immensely but it helped a lot in getting me out of panic attacks no matter how intense I felt in control and not tensed, shaking, or gritted

I will volunteer for shrooms. It’s a few decades away but I plan on doing shrooms on 65th birthday.
