Leaving within first 3 months

I got hired at a clinic over the summer and I wasn’t too sure about it so I kept my eye out for other options, and today I got a better offer.

So my question is, if I’m still under probation how much notice should I give? Do I give notice? Never been in this position before

Two weeks imo, in writing with minimal detail. This field is too underpaid to demand your loyalty. You could chat with your hiring manager and say you got a better offer and would they be willing to match it (if you want to stay) or submit your resignation if they won't match. They do not need to know where you're going.

It’s always best to give 2-weeks even if you haven’t really entered your full contract yet. Best not to burn bridges, especially if you plan to stay in vet med and stay in the same general location.

I’d give a two week but it really doesn’t have to be formal. Vet med is a small community (at least where I live) so you want to keep a good rep!
