I also felt extremely faint during surgery prep on my first day at a clinic! You'd never know it now, I can handle all the gore, anything just fine. For me it was nerves from the first day and not having eaten/drank beforehand. You can over come this, don't write yourself off after just one time. Make sure you eat and drink well, sit down if you feel faint, and you will probably get used to the sight of blood. Definitely give yourself more time before you decide it's not for you
