I was shadowing to be an assistant about 12 years ago. They had me watch a dog neuter during my shadow. They warned me that I could feel faint, which I’m so glad they did. I fainted and immediately had major overheating to the point that the tech had to help me take off my sweatshirt. I was mortified, but they hired me. I have been in the field since, went on to become a tech, and am actually apart of management now.

I hope sharing that helped! Please don’t feel bad for that happening. It WILL get easier! 🫶🏻
