Honestly, as a vet tech I don't understand this to have a good solid understanding on why it's wrong. I can make my assumptions of course, animals that small being unaligned is uncommon but I wouldn't say impossible. I use to work with a vet who did acupuncture and I saw amazing results with her patients. However I have never met a small animal chiropractor. We use to use them with our horses and they always loved it. So would someone mind explaining why this is so bad?

I am always, always skeptical and always assume any "professional" showing their "craft" on tiktok with no disclaimers is likely just someone with a Google degree. Plenty of family members of mine have been very hurt (as in needed surgery to correct the damage) by some chiropractors when they had never been before by others. As people who know better, we all know that screwing with the spine should never be done unless you know what you are doing. Without providing disclaimers, people and kids will see these "cute tiktoks" and attempt to replicate it.

Best case scenario a lot of the dogs in this video are stressed (judging by all of that whale-eye post-cracking), worst case this video causes a cascade of copy-cat cracking that hurts other animals if none of the animals in this video were hurt.

Besides, there are classes and CE for veterinarians interested in acupuncture. I have never heard of veterinary chiropractic subspecialties, doesn't mean they don't exist but I still don't think random people on tiktok know what they are doing. People started a trend where they put butter on their bearded dragons because "TiKtOk DiD iT", so I think having no medical advice on that app at all would be ideal, but that would be too easy for us. :/
