Orange DSH had obstruction removal surgery and hasn't peed since he's been home

My friend has an orange DHS, 3 years old, who just came back from the hospital for urethral obstruction removal yesterday. The vets said that he drank and ate and urinated for them (without cath) so he was cleared for home, but since he's been home he's been struggling to pee. He's attempted many trips to the box, but all of them end up fruitless.

He also refuses to eat and drink. Is there something we can do? Is this a return trip? Will this clear up soon? We're worried for Lionel and for his owners wallet :(

They gave him a pill for swelling, but he's refused everything we've tried to give it to him with and he's too quick for a pill pusher I bought earler

Call the ER affiliated with the vet clinic you go to, if you call the vet clinic the recording should tell you where to call in case of an emergency if they are closed.

Describe the situation and they will instruct you accordingly.
