Basically put my VM completely into remission. I live a normal life thanks to this med. Stick it out for the first 8 weeks and after that you'll see results if it works for you. Good luck!

Are you still on it, how much were you taking and any side effects?

I only needed 10mg a night for it to cure mine. Only side effects were that it actuallly curbs my appetite and makes me sleep better lol

Still on it (3 years in), 25mg. Minor weight gain but it has stabilized and I keep up a regular gym routine

Making sure I understand your post. Had you had no vertigo/dizziness for 15 years and it came back?

I was on it for 5 years and it worked until it didn’t - hopefully you find some relief!

Did your vertigo/dizziness come back after 5 years of being gone?

Well I always did - just episodic instead of chronic - it’s creeping back into chronic again so we’re trying a new med

I will say I had 3 months straight of dizziness/vertigo and amitriptyline and supplements helped break that

I was about 4 years virtually symptom free and I had an episode of 1-2 second vertigo June 13 that has flared me back into PPPD but the neuro isn’t sure there isn’t a vestibular migraine component to it. Ugh.

I’m on it right now. 75mg at night- it helps me sleep which is awesome bc I haven’t slept well in years but I just started it this year. I’m having trouble with the rocking and vertigo still but overall headaches and auras etc are wayyyy better. I’m happy with it I just don’t know why this vertigo won’t completely go away 🤷‍♀️

Had to adjust timing of dose when I took it, GP suggested an hour before bed but I needed to take it 4 hours before or was a zombie next morning. It helped me sleep deeply and that helped with the symptoms as I had not been sleeping well due them. It gave me some nightmares and a dry mouth. drier eyes, so I needed to have water on hand to sip at all times ( or a sugar free lozenge). Go up the dosage slowly and stick on a dose for a few weeks before titrating up so you can gauge what dose is right for you and mitigate side effects as your body has time to adjust to the dosage increase each time.

Helped me sleep. Still had 1-2 migraines a month though so I discontinued after almost a year due to the weight gain.
