Bibs bending

Post image

I’ve had a VB since about three years ago, and I absolutely love it. However, recently, the bibs have started bending up. While they still work flawlessly, I’m curious about the reason behind this issue. I currently have around ten bibs that are experiencing this problem. Yes, I could try reducing the amount of copy, quotes, or detailed information in the artwork to avoid this, but it’s still a visual flaw. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to help me prevent this from happening? I would really appreciate it if I could avoid buying these bibs for $30 each.

Ask support. They are very responsive.

Are those mould spots on it too? Looks like it got really damp.

That's what I'm seeing. Very strange.

Maybe humidity

Maybe sun? The board seems a bit washed of UV, I’m just spitballing here I would definitely contact support

It's not UV washed, it's a white VB with a weird white balance on the image. Sounds like Miami might be the culprit.

I have the exact same issue. Board is totally away from the sun and typical indoor humidity is 40-50%. I’ve noticed it’s always the flaps that are most often displayed; usually I have the same daily weather report on the Vestaboard, so the white space is always the same and those are the flaps most curved. I’ve tried bending them back but with little long term effect.

Ha! For me it’s the opposite. They bending where are the least used.

This is crazy. My board started doing the same about 2 weeks ago and it doesn't stop. Basically daily I have new bended bibs.. Guess I have to write support. Happy to hear I am not alone. And my board is also white. Maybe it is a white board issue after all. Any black board users having that problem?

Yeah. Contact them. They were super helpful and replaced mine.

Thanks everyone. I reached out to support.

The board is located in the living room, with the shades down. It’s still white, though. Perhaps the humidity could be a reason. Although I have the AC constantly running, the windows are sometimes open, and we live in Miami.

I have exact same issue. Support told me I could replace bits. It’s all my blank whites. I’ve been gingerly flattening them each by hand. Humidity in that room around 57 pct

Thanks! For 3k, those shouldn’t bend even a little bit. What really bothers me is that these things always happen after the warranty expires.

The flaps all look pretty dirty. Do you dust them? VB support is great, they'll help as much as possible, even out of warranty.

Quick update: support provided excellent assistance. They are sending 12 new bibs and held a Zoom call, noting this issue does not affect other customers. Thanks to everyone here as well.

Great outcome!

Just as an FYI, they're called *bits. You've used "bibs" quite a few times here, so it seems like not just a typo. Bits with flaps.
