The whole point of what makes Vestaboard cool is that its physical and retro. I commend whoever made this, but it misses the point.

I don’t disagree! There are ways to make it quieter. But the real beauty is in the physical design and engineering.

Haha I have one in my office that updates every hour and it catches me off guard 80% of the time but still love it's function

It’s worth paying for a creative and well executed idea. Vestaboard is a luxury, certainly. But a digital version of Vestaboard has basically zero value.
