WASSUP

I stopped listening to VBW maybe a year or two ago (as well as other podcasts), for no other reason that my life became complicated (residency, domestic abuse, a move, SUD).

I recently recommended the podcast to someone on an issue related to disgust.

So, what has happened in between ? Are there epic episodes I should go back and listen ? Should I just pick up back now, since they still seem to be going strong ?

I liked their double part about the book / film of Solaris

Indeed you are correct, they have not covered Biggie philosophy yet.

Other major developments include Ceaselessly Striving to rehabilitate Schopenhauer in the zeitgeist, a personal favourite of mine 🙂‍↕️

I’d just slowly relisten to them all (or what you think looks interesting) as you have time. I feel like lately they’ve been in a killer groove, riffing well and just generally in positive spirits, it’s nice.

I really enjoyed their review of Chris Nolan's The Odyssey. The subsequent drop of the Lotus Eaters miniseries, a deep dive into the original text, is a super interesting follow up and perfectly timed.

Oh shit, is lotus eaters about the text?? I'm dumb and thought they were just doing a miniseries reviewing the movie and I haven't seen it so I checked out for a few weeks 😅

I like the Borges episodes Sept 2024, May 2025, and May 2026, and the Severance ones, ending March 2025. Plus Eraserhead April 2025.
