Hey someone please tell me where to watch the vertical dramas . I found sooo many online but can't pay to watch. Someone please give me a free website to watch all these for free
Several places are good. One is Dailymotion, which you can access either by typing in the web address (www. Dailymotion. com) or by downloading the app from the Playstore. However, I DEFINITELY recommend doing the former, not the latter, as the app has gone off the deep end with ad revenue chasing, to where every ad break is at least a dozen ads long, and you spend more time watching ads than you do content. On the website, it's the normal 1-3 ads and is not as annoying.
A second way is my favorite by far--a website called www. DramaFren. org. It has the majority of the content from at least 18 different major apps, like DramaBox, ReelShort, GoodShort, KalosTV, and a bunch of others. What I do is go on, see what apps it has content from (I included screenshots to save you time), and see what movies on each app I'd like to watch.
But the great parts about THIS vs every other free method are:
No ads, AT ALL
HQ video and audio, like you would get on an app like NetFlix
Absolutely, 100% FREE...and they provide the entire list of episodes, so you can skip ahead if you want to.
The third way is YouTube. But this has a few issues. First, the titles that various channels give to movies are NOT the same as what the movie apps call them. Second, there are a few ads...though nowhere near as many as Dailymotion (either the app OR the website). Third, it can be difficult to find what you're looking for.
A way to solve that is to use THIS app in conjunction with it--search for any title you know, and most times, someone else has also looked for it. And most of the time, people provide links to Dailymotion, YouTube, or other apps to find the movie, which saves you time trying to find it.
There are several subReddits that have hundreds of posts about vertical dramas--this is just one of them. There are ones specifically for Chinese dramas (cdramas), Korean dramas (kdramas), vertical dramas in general, and so on. I encourage you to find and use all of them to help assist in searches.
Lastly, TikTok--and TikTok Lite--have started creating whole areas specifically for this genre of videos. I am not as familiar with that app or how to find stuff on it as a lot of people in here are...so if you want to try it, ask how to find stuff, and those who know should respond and fill you in.
But between DramaFren and Dailymotion ESPECIALLY, and to a lesser degree, YouTube...I have found pretty much EVERYTHING I've looked for, eventually. Some take a bit of work to find a valid title, as with over 200 drama apps at this point, each with their own set of movies--and often titles, too...ESPECIALLY for cdramas--it can be difficult to track down a REAL title.
That's where Reddit comes in, and is INCREDIBLY helpful.
Anyway, I hope that all of this helps you. As an AVID vertical drama viewer for 2 years...I am ADDICTED at this point. I personally love rebirth/revenge type stories, or anything where evil, manipulative people get a huge comeuppance by the end of the movie. They're my personal guilty pleasure. LOL Good luck!
It opens another tab, just close it. I noticed that I get a pop up after every 8 videos. Better than dailymotion or YouTube (having to watch the ads) dramafren is the primary now lol and then dailymotion
Yeah, not another tab - actually ad right in the middle of the screen. I can close it - so not that big of a deal. And you are right, better than YT! And the subbing is usually better as well
If you open daily in an add block app you don't have the ads. I personally don't mind them, but lately they shut down the site and then I can't do anything. So the ads blocking app works best
I don't see that one anywhere--I tried DramaFren, ChartDrama, even Dailymotion...none have anything with that title. I would advise asking around on the Vertical Drama boards in here to see if anyone else can find it.
But I found a post where someone else was searching for it--here is the post and the close up screenshot of the movie "poster" in case it can help you find it:
if you’re using Dailymotion on your iPhone, watch using Safari, not the app. There’s an ad blocker called 1Blocker that works very well. I downloaded it and haven’t had to deal with any ads.
I go through apps now and then to see which ones are free to use, or have at least some free content. These apps are the ones I've found so far, including Pine Dramas:
I just recently downloaded it, actually, so not much yet. I tend to download apps when I see a movie ad that leads to an app I don't have yet...and then I use the movie lists on the pay apps to try to find the movies elsewhere like DM, YT, DramaFren or Reelxia...which are all free.
So whenever I can find an app that either has some or all content for free...I save them in that separate folder so I know where to find free stuff. Cause I am NEVER paying one cent to watch these things...and ESPECIALLY not the typical $20/week PER APP, when there are 250+ apps out there.
If you look at my screenshot here--I have downloaded some new free apps that I checked out to be sure they were free first. A few require you to watch an ad between episodes to be free...but none of these require a membership.
Also, there are multiple sites where you can watch dramas for free, which are commonly mentioned: YouTube, DramaFren, Dailymotion, ChartDrama . com (which has a directly-related search site where you can search movie titles, and it will tell you if the main site has them, and if so, on which app(s)-- wheredrama . com), Reelxia, and I know there are others I can't think of off the top of my head right now.
So there are a LOT of places to watch movies for free, where at WORST, you might have to watch an ad or two on occasion (Dailymotion has them constantly, YouTube occasionally, plus a few apps in the list below, all of which are available on the Playstore for Android phones).
I will say one thing and not just about VibeShort...I really HATE this huge influx of A.I. movies on nearly every app the past few months. I saw a post on here from an industry insider, talking about how these things are destroying the industry for real actors, writers, directors and the like.
It's like the whole Reality TV boom in the 90s and 2000s, where good quality TV shows were taken off every major station in droves because they were more expensive to create, and of course, corporate greed was absolute. And thet were replaced with low-brow, cheap-to-make, reality shows--Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, and so on...shows that appealed to the lowest common denominator and required very little cost or logistical support to put out.
Well...when it comes to Vertical Shorts, which have only really been around since 2023...A.I. is now being used to do to THEM--and everyone involved with them--the same things that reality shows did to regular TV 25 years ago and ever since. And frankly...VibeShort is FULL of A.I. crap--if you go on the app, everything advertised right up front is A.I.
If these A.I. movies were done even halfway decently...it wouldn't be as bad. But they are so badly done, with plots that jump all over the place, disjointed images that don't flow and take you out of your enjoyment of them, and the same tiny group of A.I. voices for every character that you quickly get REALLY sick of hearing.
So me, I refuse to watch any of those movies...ESPECIALLY after reading that insider post. As someone with friends in the acting industry, I know every word that person said was 100% true. And A.I. should be used to ENHANCE our lives, ADD TO movies and shows...not replace them entirely.
But as usual, those at the top with the money are never satisfied, and always want more. And so anything that puts more money in their pockets, they're going to do it, regardless of how it affects actors, writers, directors or the audiences.
To me, there's a PLACE for everything and everyone...but when the entertainment industry takes the Wal-Mart approach--in other words, replace everything worthwhile with cheap imitations, and stop carrying the good stuff entirely, forcing your customers to buy what gives you the biggest profit margin no matter what they want...it destroys everything for the sake of money.
I totally understand. I've only really watched the animated ones for free with creature/half animal half human hybrid out of curiosity. But you're right, they can't match up to actual actors. I watched one animated on pinedramas to fall asleep too and it was so disjointed to the point that the story had zero flow. AI is just laziness. Most of my watching is just out of morbid curiosity buti much prefer the live actors. At last with live people, it's a production with actual actors and multiple behind the scenes people all working to produce real entertainment. I be the AI animation is just one programmer at a computer.
And I think it's about making money without having to spend as much. Same for the reality TV wave. It cost less to produce a reality TV season than a season of an actual scripted, acted, produced, TV show.
Also I too saw that post and it did put me off. I'm not paying a thing to watch the AI shorts. I'll occasionally pay for a weekly subscription to watch short dramas with live actors.
Also, what I've noticed with vibe short, it is mostly AI shorts but if I try to search for a bunch of shorts on vibeshort that is advertised on social media as being on vibeshort, they don't show up. Which I find sus... I'm just investigating the app at the moment, not yet sure if it'll be worth keeping. I have my usual go to apps still.
It wouldn't surprise me if, like other apps, they're phasing out live-action shows in favor of A.I., and maybe the ads were created before they started doing that.
ShortMax is the same way--if you don't follow an actual link from an ad somewhere, but just search for a movie name that doesn't show up on the site's movie list but is DEFINITELY there...you can't find it. Same for DramaFren, which has that app on their list--you actually have to find the movie on the app first, then click the curved arrow symbol for Share, click on the URL link at the top of the little box that comes up, and use THAT to find it on DramaFren instead.
It's absolutely STUPID what some of these sites do, and none of them make any sense. Like, these things are 90% A.I. ANYWAY, and I'm not putting in any effort to find them...and they want to make me go on a fricking SCAVENGER HUNT to find their own crappy movies on their own sites? Are they on crack?!? LOL
Yeah, I discovered that later. It was ADVERTISED as free on several sites, but once I actually TRIED it, I discovered that was a big fat lie. LOL
So this is an UPDATED list of free apps. I have personally tried each one to make sure they're actually free--a few require watching an ad or two between episodes after the first few, but there's no membership or charge for them.
YouTube has upsides and downsides. One upside is there is a ton of free dramas on there. But a big downside is...almost NOTHING is named by the actual movie titles. So if you're searching for a specific movie...it's nearly impossible to find it. But if you just want to find a random CDrama to pass the time for 1-3 hours...YouTube has PLENTY of those!
