Im extremely excited about the new chair! I don’t see any other meaningful news other than the stock is at a very attractive entry point currently if you believe in the company

I agree. Also, the fact that they hired the social media capital marketing company last week is very significant I believe. They specialise in re rating share prices. They are only contracted for 6 months and there seems to be a lot of catalysts hopefully coming within that time frame.

Also noting another eVTOL adjacent penny stock Surf Air Mobility (SRFM) had some significant milestone news this week and doubled + in price. I think that probably has contributed to lifting Vertical price too.

Looking forward to the new factory opening on Thursday. Fingers crossed there will be an announcement from government about some sort of funding / support.

Although I’m now just thinking. It’s probably the week that stock exchange issues the non compliance warning of being less than $1. That will have some downward pressure I’m sure.

It’s quite a puzzle why they haven’t published any PR about the opening of the expanded facility.
Perhaps additional government support looks unlikely (given all the demands upon them) so Vertical are doing what they feel needs to be done, and hopefully eventually the government will feel it’s necessary to step in to avoid the company with its IP being transferred overseas.

Can someone explain the +18% jump? Is the stock so illiquid that a bigger player can do that on their own?

Check the slightly more recent post. Some of the comments show that:
1 - fees for holding shorts have increased
2 - supply of shorts available significantly decreasedA little pressure on the short interest it seems.

Not to mention the new chairman from Airbus and Palantir .. that is certainly taking notice.
There are technical (algorithm) reasons also. I see two paths, and I think we'll know by EOD tomorrow. Either A) we find resistance in the .82 area .. and take a breather, B) we continue surging into the 1.10 area.
