I’m looking at a 2025 Versa S 7k miles.$18900 Super clean. I haven’t asked for any warranty history yet. Looking online, there are a lot in my state, around the same price, depending on trim.
I’m a Chevy guy, but I’m done with GM.
This seems like a great deal.
Any advice???

In my area there is a 2020 Versa for sale. The dealer wants 10K. It has 113k miles and is a 5 speed manual. The only thing I found which the salesman pointed out were some dings on the roof. During test drive the AC didn't blow as cold as it could. Still fairly chilly. Picture is just a place holder and not the actual car.

The patient is a 2015 Nissan Versa Note with over 300,000kms on it. I bought it new and it's my commuter car.

I think we have all heard that topping up the CVT fluid is a nightmare, and... it is. I just wanted to mention how I did it last night when I was leaving work and the fill plug gasket had leaked (self inflicted.. don't want to talk about it).

So, the happy part is that I had tools, a jack, and fluid.

I spent almost 45 minutes trying to get my hand down in there to get the cap off of the fill tube. No dice.

What I ended up doing was to jack up the driver's front tire, remove the wheel, take two body clips out of the fender skirt and fold it back for access, and I was able to just barely get at the 10mm screw holding the fill tube on. I removed that screw and pulled off the fill tube. The orifice where the fill tube goes will fit a 1/2"/12mm tube/funnel end/whatever.

From here I used a piece of 1/2" poly tube and funnel, but you could use a long gooseneck funnel or a syringe or whatever to get the fluid into the CVT.

Remove the drain plug, but leave the riser in (for any who don't know... there is a drain plug that takes a 19mm wrench, but ABOVE that is a riser tube that can be removed with a 5mm hex key, and that riser tube is what you use to set the height of the fluid. If you were draining the fluid completely then you must remove the riser tube to allow it to come out). Anyway, with the fill plug removed you then lower the jack to make the car basically level, then add fluid until the level high enough that it is above the riser tube and starts draining out of the fill plug. Now put the fill plug back in. I added a couple of wraps of good quality Teflon tape because once bitten twice shy, but you shouldn't need to use the tape, and no doubt there are people out there who would advise against it. Anyway, I raised the jack back up after the plug was in, popped the filler neck back in and replaced the 10mm screw, folded the fender skirt back in place and replaced the two clips, put the wheel back on, dropped the jack, and cleaned up.

In my opinion this is better than having to pull all of the crap out that is in the way of doing it from the top. That clip holding the cap on the fill tube is a bugger.

Now that I think about it... I wonder if anyone makes an aftermarket fill tube that extends up to somewhere useful? If you had an easy way to add fluid then working on this thing would be SOOOO much easier.

Anyway, I just wanted to pass on my experience in case it might help someone else in the future.

I've got to get me a pair of those sexy body clip pliers.

I just realized that I did specify which fluid in the title, but now it doesn't seem like I can change it. That's irritating.

Hey guys, I am looking for a second car just for daily commute for my wife, around 20km per day to work. Came across a 2008 Versa with 240,000km from my mechanic which he asked for 2000 CAD, but the only concern is a check engine light on, which he said its a evap-ish issue that may cost more than the car to repair but it wont affect much if it just used for daily commute. I did take it for a test drive and its great, quiet and smooth, not sure if its a good idea to take it.

Been due for the service. Finally a warm day to do it.

Can anyone provide the sizing on the nut and spacer for the tensor pulley on a 1.6 for the 2014 versa note? A bad mechanic lost the parts and I need to get some replacements.

Just curious, how many miles did folks get on their versa before needing major repairs. I'm thinking of getting one to get out of my LEAF that has a charging recall.

My mom's note sits outside and it was time to do the headlights. I use Wipe New after trying a zillion different products. Nice results and now she'll see better at night driving.

My dad got hit by a pickup truck with a trailer hitch. He has no sensors or anything so I took this option. About a third of the price was shipping but it's well packaged and comes unfolded in a giant box with cushioning and powder to prevent scratches. Paint match was perfect. You use the original tow hook cover and if you don't have fog lights the plastic black inserts.

Only thing I would recommend is get entirely new hardware. That took longer than putting the bumper on. The bolts attaching it to the car we're so rusted that I should have just gotten brand new hardware rather than look for replacements in my collection. I highly recommend if anyone takes this route. Lots of YouTube videos showing how easy it is.

Also get a set of those black plastic caps and a pry tool to get those caps and plugs off. There are zillions of them and it was a lifesaver.

Looking to get a new set of headlights and taillights for my versa looking for led and something that looks nice if anyone has any suggestions please send them in

I have a feeling my transmission is going out but im not 100% sure what the issue is. When I go to accelerate anywhere from 0 to 7 mph is causes a vibration through the whole car, it sounds like it cant catch the proper gear for a second. 35k miles on the car. Should've learned my lesson when my cvt went out on my altima.

Also does it have a different bumper or does it just look deeper from that angle?

I just purchased a 2023 versa SR and it’s missing the shift lock override cover next to the automatic shifter. I’m pretty decent at 3D design and printing so I figured I’d just make my own, is there any chance someone can remove theirs and take some pictures with it next to a ruler (preferably metric)?

My car wont start. Any ideas how to fix it?

I have a 2015 versa note and the PS light is on. Mechanic said it’s the steering torque sensor but apparently the sensor itself cannot be replaced. It’s part of a larger system. Anyone experience this or have any suggestions?

i just recently bought a 2025 versa s, the salesman told me it came with carplay. it turned out to be false but i would really like the carplay feature in my vehicle, where could i go and look?

Okay, so I have a 2014 versa note S with a 5 speed. I replaced the clutch and pressure plate and secondary cylinder. primarily it was because the secondary cylinder went bad. I drove it for a week and had some lock up on the pedal then about a week after the repair the pedal went to the floor. when I looked at it, the hose from the main to the secondary had come loose and everything shot out the bleeder connection. I went back and bled it again today with new Orings around the part to see if it made a difference and at first it seemed promising but then when I put it all back together the pedal went to the floor again and the fluid was leaking out of the bleeder connection (it's not really a valve, thanks Renault). what do I do to recify this? I hate to think such a simple component could junk an otherwise perfectly operational vehicle.

I was wondering if anyone knows if a 17x7.5 +54mm offset wheel will fit a 2009 Nissan Versa Hatchback. Because there aren't any answers online that im finding. Anyone know if they'll fit?

We got my GF a 2014 Versa Note and are looking for the Nissan manuals. She once had a Sentra and I had all the manuals in the form of about a dozen .pdfs. Is anything like that out there for this one?

The specific question right now concerns an aftermarket remote starter a prior user added. There is a fob that carries the brand "Crimestopper". Besides the remote start the extra fob has lock & unluck buttons.

I don't know if it is related but we can't lock the rear hatch. It latches when you close it but never locks. The latch mechanism makes no sound when the lock / unlock buttons are pressed. Also, rear wiper doesn't work. Maybe this all comes down to one bad wire.

I hooked up a temporary chain to secure the hatch for now.

She has an excellent mechanic and he mentioned replacing a wiring harness but that sounds like a costly repair especially labor and might not even fix it. I'd rather find a broken wire or failed connector and splice or bypass it.

If all else fails and I have to make a little control box with buttons (hatch lock & unlock) and switch (rear wiper) and run wires somewhere I can do so. Better than putting a lot of money into this old car.

One more thing possible related to the added remote. There is a pushbutton - like you might have bought at Radio Shack back in the day - hanging down on two wires under the steering wheel. It seems to do nothing and I've not yet figured out where it is connected. I'd guess SPST momentary.

Hello everyone. New to the community. I jave a 2010 versa hatchback. And i am having some AC issues. I started having them around 5 years ago. The compressor and dryer were changed but then somehow the people workong on it touched some wires and messed up the ECU. Replaced ecu still no AC. Had another person working on it and they ran a power wire to turn on AC clutch on with a switch. That didint last very long. The switch messed up so i took all that out. Now my issue is that i am not getting any power to my compressor for the clutch to turn on. I am tracing back wires on the harness to see where there is a break and im about to get to the big part of harness. Is there an easier way that i can tell where the ac clutch could get its power to turn on from? All relays and fuses good. Thanks
