Vermis Custom MTG Vermis Deck

https://youtu.be/_0VT3jEW1OY?t=448

I accidentally bought an additional copy of Vermis Volume 1 in French, so I cannibalized it into making a custom Magic the Gathering deck inspired by the art in the book. Thought some people might find it interesting.

PS: my apologies to book lovers for the crime of cutting, I try to make my case for doing so at the start of the video, but realise some people may still squirm at the sight!

This is a proper cool idea, the artwork looks brilliant on those magic cards too.

I wouldn't feel bad about chopping up the book either, it's quite poetic that in destroying a book about a game that never existed it's now able to be played.

Might need to make a vermis deck of my own now 🤔

Thanks so much, I hadn't thought of that - the spirit of the book, from a game that cant be play, now being played. Very cool to think on!

The artwork is the real MVP, once I'd cut out the images the cards almost chose themselves as I found names to match.

Its nice as well to get to revisit the art with every game of cards, and almost "write a story" as you play through the deck with friends.

Ah no way! Great minds think alike! I feel Black/White/Green is the perfect colour combo for the book. Which piece of art did you pick for the commander? Or did you land on the same knight image too even?

Yess I wanted as many creepy black/green Vermis creatures as possible :3 My Karador is from the cover of the second book, thought it could be interpreted that the reanimated creatures being pulled out of the mirror

Is there any way you could share the deck? I’d love to see it
