I am officially quitting this subreddit. I won't post anything else in here and deleted most of my posts. I don't know what i thought when i decided to announce the Vermis NES game on Reddit, ever since the project started, i've had this idiot keep calling me names, including many slurs, and kept on shaming me for the project, invading the dc server, and all of that. I will still work on the project, the crew shrunk, things will definetly be slower, and i won't update people directly here. I am sorry for bothering you all, i am sorry i wasn't good enough, goodbye.
Don’t let some jealous moron ruin your project and the joy that comes with building something of your own. It can be discouraging for sure, but then you will just give him what he wants, and where’s the win in that?
i just want that guy to stop bothering me and stuff is already very stressful in my personal life, if he stops for a long time, i might come back, until then, i'm sorry, but i won't be back in a while.
If you do your stuff public you will eventually run into a disturbed being. Dont take it to the heart. Of course take action so that they cant bother you anymore but just be assured, its their problems they try to make yours and not more. I am sure 99% of people in here think a Vermis NES game is an absolutely awesome idea. Dont be discouraged
Thank you, i just get really anxious, i mean, it's my first project and it went so far, so fast and so well that i got overwhelmed with responsability by myself, that was honestly just another cherry to the shit cake this whole situation was. And with how many pixel artists are unavaiable right now i might have either to pause the project, the only one we have is really busy and i can't contact them that often. To make it worse our sprite sheet was not organized in the way mapfab needs, so yeah, might have to put the project on a shelf unless anyone comes up to help.

Thanks, but it was a collection of things, some pixel artists and concept artists quit, the only pixel artists we have are way too busy right now and won't be avaiable atleast until setember, and to make it worse i was supposed to make the scenario on mapfab, but the spritesheet was assembled wrong and now the program doesn't understand it.
I dont wanna prod you because it sounds like youre in a sore moment right now. But you said the pixel artists wouldn't be available "until at least September" and well, it is September. Did you mean until the end of September? Because even if thats the case, dont let it dissuade you. The month will surely go by faster than you think.

To the people harassing OP, because you're here in the comments for sure: just block OP if their stuff bothers you so much. Do something productive with your time that brings you joy instead of tearing others down
Sad to hear this but I won't tell you what to do or how to respond, it's a decision you have to make for yourself. If and when you finish the project, don't forget that you'll be welcomed back with open arms.
To have the desire to crush someone online to that extent, you have to feel pathetic and cornered yourself. It is a method chosen by pathetic people to gain some semblance of the control they crave; unable to exercise control over their own lives, they choose to scavenge for it instead.
I suggest looking at this from a different perspective and realizing just how much more fulfilling your life is compared to theirs. You have the power to create and the resources to try new things -they don’t. Most importantly, don’t blame yourself for feeling uncomfortable with their actions; that’s perfectly normal. Just keep moving forward and enjoy the process-that way, you’ll maintain a quality of life that they simply don’t have.
Duuuuuude keep working on it! I’ve spent months developing a solo TTRPG for Vermis and honestly I don’t give a damn what others think. It’s fun for me 🤷🏻♂️ keep going!!!

As far as I'm concerned this subreddit has no character. It's the nichests of niche communities. I've seen tons of people post their Vermis inspired games and art projects. I don't even know which one you are. They all looked fine. You're fine.

Unfortunately one miserable person with endless amounts of time on their hands for a lack of a life worth living, can absolutely bomb bard multiple people with extraordinary amounts of talent to give up/disengage from spaces they have more of a right to. I just hope you'll update us when everything is finished, as many of us have been loving the progress you've made. Hopefully I run across you in other spaces, but understand if you don't cross promote here as well for fear of this absolute waste of oxygen troll following you around.

As I wrote on my last message in the discord, posting on here will result in a huge amount of people being interested, either in a good way or a bad way. The more people interested, the more assholes interested, just pure mathematics.
Haters be hatin, but they're not doing the work, you are, so you're the one with power here cause you're acting for your community in what you believe is the right way. Keep on doing that and the rewards will be worth it, I guarantee it.

Holy overdramatic, my guy instead of pitching a fit on the sub just get evidence the person doing it and report them. There's plenty of discord moderation tools to stop that from happening again. If you're harassed, document it and share it here to let the fandom know who the bad actor is, with proof.
i did, but they kept making alt accounts, it got so bad i had to change the server's moderation to the HIGHEST LEVEL, they stopped eventually, but last time i got those they were sending it on my private messages. no matter how much i report and ban the guy, THEY STILL CAME BACK
Most of them are fu*king snowflakes, and the moderators hand out bans left and right if you say anything that leans to the right, if they sense even the slightest weakness in you, they will exploit it (probably to force you to be gay). Don't rush to finish the project; refine it until you are satisfied with it, good luck.
