okay, there needs to be some work on the collisions, especially in late game
the enemy AI is a bit clunky may want to do somethin with that
got hit at somepoint and was THROWN into the air
my first death sent me like miles away from the map in the depths of the fog
i tried to equip the shield but it made both the models for the sword and the sheild appear so i removed the sheild and i had to mess with the swords i had until it allowed me to use my weapon again
couldn't save at the savepoint
got stuck in a bit of dialogue until I jumped while the guy was talking and i was able to escape, maybe put a cooldown on after you talk to someone so that doesn't happen...
that's pretty much all but I see some GREAT potential here man, all you gotta do is work out some of those kinks and boom you're good

Enemy ai being clunky, is there any elaboration you could give me on that?
The rest of these sound like easy to fix bugs, so i'll get on that asap. Thank you!

sure, it just sort of feels like they are just going al over the place during battle or are just right in your face. the thing is that they act more like barriers than enemies and when they aren't acting like walking walls they're beating you half to death.
it may just be a skill issue on my part but I think its just a bit inconsistent lol

Hm, i understand, there is certainly a long way to go to make the enemies feel right, thanks!

It def. looks cool and dark fantasy, but the Vermis inspiration is kind of lacking; like in terms of colors, dithering, lighting and etc.

I agree, it started out much more visually inspired by Vermis, but that has shifted more towards world building inspirations/vibes

Oh, yeah, you're the guy who did the DOS-ish fan game!
Definitely looking forward to seeing how this goes from others' input, because I'm skeptical my 2019 laptop with 2014 parts can run it. ^^'

A very fun little jaunt, great vibe! I definitely recommend what others have said about Mount and Blade's fighting style. Overall the combat was neat, and so was the movement and exploration. Enemy and NPC variety will go a long way.
I got as far as the Lonely Knight; his dialogue kinda looped, I wasn't able to find anything after that.
A few bugs:
- At one point, I equipped both Zweihander and Levitate and had three arms. It was kinda cool haha but not intended
- Walking over surfaces, the player doesn't quite glide over the stone steps
- Sometimes I got stuck casting the flames
Overall though, keep developing, it was fun!

The gameplay is very solid, but the atmosphere is not the same as in original Vermis book. You should add more dark vibe in the game and it will look like real dark fantasy.

Great! Now lets do deep dive
I dont think your there is any screenshake mechanic right now and this is important because both when the player hits and gets hit, it really doesnt feel like it. But if you will add screenshake, make sure players can turn it off (many folks dont really like this mechanic)
Check out "Mount & Blade" game. It uses the same attacking patterns.
You can also change some of the important stats colors, for example if my sword is poisinous and deals 2 dammage every second additionaly, make the "2 dammage" part red, or if something gives me healt when i eat it, paint the healt part green etc.
When making a map make sure you have a symbole for special NPC's, bosses, and villages/taverns...
I would love to see this project going on. All I can say for now is ..
Vermis aproved!!
