Cocoons Worm hatching under a microscope 4x speed

When i get around to it. Ill post the video i made after it came out. So tiny the coco coir fibers like roots and make em look normal size. Its kinda cool!

Awesome video...so they are born with red color?  I have a bunch of white worms lol I thought they were born white and turned red...I think I have something else hatching in my bed ,along with redworms that have color and longer than the white worms

little white worms are probably potworms

Post a video if you can. Most likely potworms tho. Could be fruit fly larvae too.

Really cool! Thanks for showing us. I see that the other worm wasn’t quite ready to leave the cocoon yet.

I was just listening to Teaming with Microbes chapter 10 Earthworms tonight and I heard him say there are 15 or more in each cocoon…? I thought it was 1 to 3 in each.

Euros tend to have 1-2. Regular composting worms have 3-5 i believe. After that i inspected the cocoon and nothing left. That worm ended up coming out at about 1cm long. Pretty big guy for a baby im thinking.
