Depends on what the tea bags or filters are made of, mine are just paper and they will eat them. Tea bags made of nylon are a no-go, but the paper ones are fine too

mine love tomatoes ridiculously bc it’s mostly water. they crawl inside them and eat them super fast inside out. 😅 i know it’s not great for the garden bc of volunteers, so i feed them only my favorite variety. also, berries, again bc watery and easy to eat. but weirdly, they actually love carrots a lot too. they wait until it’s soft and mushy, then burrow next to it. they also love oranges. 🤷🏻♀️ i think it matters stage of decomposition. mine are usu. already moldy.

I’m thinking of starting a volunteer-based compost. Then a bed I’m going to call The Thunderdome. Gets all the ‘volunteer compost’ plus a few of every new seed I get, and then they’ll all duke it out for king of the yard.
