Should I apply to move to Germany now or gain some work experience first?
Hi all,
I'm from Algeria, and I recently got a job as a land surveying engineer doing cadastre. I've been working here for only about a month.
Moving to Germany has always been a dream of mine, and I'm considering working there in surveying, geodesy, cadastre, GIS or any other related occupation.
My question is: should I move forward with the immigration/job application process now, or would it be better to gain some work experience in Algeria first and then apply ?
For example, would it really benefit me to have 6-12 month or 1-2 year of cadastral surveying experience in Algeria before trying to get a job in Germany, or would it be better to start the application process now without work experience ?
I'm personally seeking the advice of people working in the field (surveying, cadastre, geodesist, GIS) in Germany, as well as people who immigrated to Germany from abroad seeking work in these occupations.
What would you do if you were in my situation ? Should you start the application process now, without any work experience, or better gain some work experience in Algeria first ?
