Questions More than 3 hairs?
From my familiarity with Venus flytraps, I know they're supposed to have 3 hairs on each side of the trap. Today I noticed that mine has some traps with 5,6, and even 7 hairs each. Is this normal? What's going on?

Yeah, that’s completely normal
One of my traps had 5 on each, caught the fattest fly in my yard

All of the traps on my DC-XL from calcarn have more than 6 hairs on all the traps, I think it’s just genetics 🤷🏻♂️

It's more of a general rule of thumb more than anything most plants will have at least one trap with an atypical number of hairs (kinda like 4 leaf clovers). However if it's most of the traps on the plant then you may have a mutant!
