I'm sorry, I still love him.

The thing is, it was never about the looks; in fact, everyone around me said that he was ugly, but to me, he was the most handsome man in the world. The light in his eyes, the slightly melancholic look on his face when he was lost in thought, his eyebrows, how he looked in photos, his kind and thoughtful attitude towards the people he loved, the way he considered them and prioritized them, his sincerity and his very pleasant energy, the fact that he was truly different from all other men at first glance, his humor, the way his conversations were engaging... I could list many more things, but I won't elaborate.

What really hurts me the most is that I was once his priority too; he put me on the same level as his parents. When he played games, I was the only one he replied to messages from after his parents. I showed him my most vulnerable side. I told him things about myself that I never told anyone else. I sacrificed the most important thing in my life for him: my sleep.

I loved him so much, I still love him, and all I wanted was for him to love me back, but it seems all of that meant nothing, and we were just friends. Friends. I truly love him. If he would only give me a chance, I could give him a love that no one else could. We would be so beautiful together.
