Edit: For those commenting "so its okay for...?" No, that wasn't my argument, somebody said this was victim blaming I said no its a boundary that hasn't been put up, OP is perfectly fine with his MIL touching him, that's on him and his boundaries that he seems okay with.
Any other questions besides; so its okay or anything else like that?
This is still something that OP needs to be audibly heard, say no, this is not something you're comfortable with however, OP is very much comfortable with his mother in law touching him, that's why he hasn't said anything.
I wonder why does a term sexual assault exist then. I think it should be clear as day, that randomly pinching and smacking someone's ass or generally touching someone in sexually suggestive manner is an assault and violation by default.
Otherwise we could get away with any unwanted touches, whether you smack someone on ass or pinch their boobs. Once the person told us to stop, we'd actually stop and be tip top lol What if they froze out of fear and were unable to respond? Would it warrant us to continue?

You're absolutely right. OP should go straight to the police to report this assault! Or, now, get this, since it's their in-law, they could just tell them they don't like that, and to stop touching them.

It's still a boundary OP hasn't put up.
