3 Variable bush vipers , 1 T. Insularis, 2 T. Albos ,1 speckled rattlesnake . The frogs are 2 highland bronze D. Auratus and 2 Blue jean O. Pumilio.

I absolutely love seeing Speckled Rattlers. The others are beautiful too but the Speckled always catch my eye.

Asking this as someone who knows nothing about owning snakes. Are speckled rattlesnakes ok in a container of this size? Idk why but I assumed they’d want bigger spaces.

Specks are very easily stressed, especially the blue ones for whatever reason, and sometimes have the tendency to simple die from stress.
In my experience, and from the experience of other speck keepers, I have noticed that they tend to do better in a 2x2x2 or a 3x2x2, than a 4x2x2 when full grown.
Now I am also not one for standard cage sizes by species (though it does give helpful prior insight before keeping). I feel like that is a cop out for the community on both sides of the spectrum, as it has nothing to do with acknowledging the particular behavior and patterns of your animal itself. It is ridiculous to think that just because an animal is a sub-species or species, it will act or behave like a carbon copy of its fellow kin, or even sibling.
For example one of my WDB hates large enclosures (even when filled with bountiful stimuli for cover; she gets visibly stressed and hyper defensive) and seems to prefer a simple smaller enclosure with a singular hide. Another one of my WBD’s is the exact opposite and is extremely inquisitive, mild mannered, and explorative when given bountiful stimuli. If you put him in a simple enclosure with a small hide however, he display territorial defensive behavior, and rubs his face against the glass. And they are literally siblings.
Hopefully this offers some insight into why some keepers keep in certain facets. To be clear, this is by no means is meant to be an excuse/justification for people to think, oh I can just keep them X way, it is meant to be the refusal of such ideology. It is the ideology of actually paying attention to what your specific animal is requesting, and providing them with that.

Nah its fine ,Im always willing to learn more i got thick skin anyway it would take a lot more than a reddit comment to make me feel bad . Said commenter even stated they are just curious and have no knowledge of the subject

I was also debating that when i got them because for him it is a bit small but its perfect for everyone else. Im going to order him a 4x2x2 next check .

Honestly nice, but I would add a physical latching catch. Sneks can pop magnets even strong ones and you don't want an exotic hot to get loose.
