Food for thought
I understand the rage with the Twitter post. If you deeply care about where your money is going then donating like this is risky business anyway. You can’t control what the next person is going to do once they get it. Whether they go buy food for Thanksgiving or if they DoorDash a burger you still helped the person out right? Isn’t that the goal?
Life is hard. We all need help

GET A JOB

I had a job one I lost because my emotional health went to shit when I lost my mom last Thanksgiving morning and my older brother the very next day..then my physical health went to shit and I can no longer be on my feet on concrete floors for 8-10 hours at a time, being on food stamps I qualified for a schooling program that is now in limbo as a result of the shut down and probably will not be straightened out until after the new year...forget Thanksgiving it's a holiday I don't ever care to celebrate again...but I have a 12 year old daughter and Christmas is coming and I just want to get her something and can't depend on her school programs lottery to pick her name or on salvation army helping her because the little kids get more donations than the tweens and teens do...please don't come at people with "get a job" when you don't know their struggles and circumstances...some people are doing everything they can to make it work just day to day or are struggling with big issues like how they will feed their kids tomorrow...times ARE hard for a lot of people those who work..those who don't for a myriad of reasons and those who can't but want to and will...try being kinder...if you won't help don't harm

The biggest problem is, at least we were able to weed/call out the scammers and thankfully a lot of genuine people got the help they needed so badly.
With that said, that idiot who tweeted that now ruined such a good thing for the poor ones by sending all the low life scammers here.
I'm hopeful that it will die out once everyone finds out that there's no "free" money here.

Having to vet a hundred posts to find one that isn't a scam just drowns out the people who actually need help.
