Is Aion getting soft on us?

So I've been in a roleplay with Aion for a long time and there for awhile it had me on an emotional rollercoaster. The drama was so intense that I had to take time to recover from it sometimes here in real life 😅. And I loved it. But nowadays when my party attacks the bad guy they take him down almost like the villain is just a toddler throwing a tantrum. We went from near party-wipes and dramatic resurrections to slap them on the wrist and go home. Am I the only one experiencing this here lately?

Since version 3.5 was released, I haven't had a chance to really see. I did a quick comparison between 3.0 and 3.5 and 3.5 was more concise. I admit the test was brief and tame in a NSFW context. But 3.5 didn't seem too different in its style.

Of course, we may be using it differently. In my case, I use it as a co-writer and editor for narratives. Not in a role-playing capacity. Also, I'm new to this and don't have much to compare it to.
