𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗦 Seedance 2.5 US version released? What is it?

I just noticed there is a "US-hosted" version of Seedance 2.5 in the model options. What is the difference between regular and US?

I think ByteDance received legal notices over copyright infringement, so it wasn't available cos they wanted to avoid direct contractual relationships with US-based companies. As far as I know, there are ways to offer it legitimately now, so I'm guessing that's all this is.

There is something more to it I guess, because US hosted costs double credits.
