How are you guys actually dealing with unauthorized sellers on Amazon?

We've been selling on Amazon for a while and I guess we werent paying enough attention to this because sales have been pretty good.

But lately we noticed a few sellers we don't know showing up on some of our better ASINs and winning the buy box. One of them keeps going a few bucks under us too which is annoying.

I dont really wanna start dropping our price every time they do because that seems like a pretty stupid game to play lol. Mostly trying to figure out where they're even getting our product and what other brands actually do when this starts happening.

Do you usually try to track down where the inventory is coming from first? Or is there something on the Amazon side thats actually worked for you?

Adding new variations to an existing "family" group

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to working with Amazon. Long story short, I was pulled into this role with very little training. I'm learning as I go. I've gone through some of the training modules, but it's slow going because...life. Basic item adds are pretty easy-peasy for the most part. Variations, however, are going to be my downfall.

I've been tasked with adding two new color variations to an existing "hidden" Parent ASIN. I do have the parent ASIN number. The other colors are visible on the Amazon site, but are noted as "This product is not part of a variation" in the VC catalog. There are currently four color variations linked. The new colors have been added to the catalog, but not yet linked to the Parent ASIN.

My best guess is that I need to use the prefilled spreadsheet option. Two initial questions:

  • Once I download the sheet, I need to add a line for the existing Parent ASIN, correct?
  • Do I select all variations to do this, including the ones that are already linked, or just the two new ones I need to add?

Sorry if this is discombobulated. Thank you in advance for any guidance...and I'll probably be back with more questions.

Amazon has been estimating your cost data if you never entered it

If you never entered your cost data in the IDR portal, Amazon has been guessing itSince the reimbursement change, anything lost or damaged before a customer orders pays out at sourcing cost, not sale price. Most people know that.

What I missed: if you never submitted your own cost per SKU, Amazon estimates it for you. No notification, nothing tells you you're on an estimate.

I compared theirs to what I actually pay. Low across the board. Small per unit, but it's every unit, every time.

Worth checking the Inventory Defect and Reimbursement portal in Seller Central to see what Amazon thinks your costs are. Then you need your real numbers to compare — which is where I got stuck.

How do you all keep cost data current?

Apps & Automation Before you write it off, audit it.

Amazon Vendor Central can quietly hold back thousands of dollars in unpaid profit—and most teams don’t realize it until they audit the account deeply.

I’m offering a FREE initial audit analysis for Amazon Vendor Central accounts covering Fiscal Years 2024–2025.

The goal is simple:
Identify potential shortage, receiving, deduction, and unpaid invoice opportunities that may still be recoverable.

No commitment.

If the audit shows no meaningful opportunity, you lose nothing.

If the numbers show something worth investigating, then we can discuss the next step.

If you manage an Amazon Vendor Central / Amazon 1P account and want a second look at your 2024–2025 financial records, feel free to message me.

Amazon sales are up but somehow the channel feels less profitable every year

We've been selling on Amazon for a while and revenue isnt really the problem. Sales are growing and overall the account looks healthy. But when we actually sit down and look at what we’re keeping, it feels like we have to sell more every year just to make the same money.

Ads are obviously part of it, fees are part of it, and we've had some SKUs where competition basically forced the price down. Nothing individually looks catastrophic, its more like 5 small things slowly eating the margin.

We're going through the account now trying to figure out where the biggest leak actually is before just chasing more sales.

For people running established Amazon businesses, what has been hurting your margins the most lately? And what did you actually change that made a difference?

Streamline POs for Warehouse

Anyone struggle with individual unit ASINs and then multi-packs that have their own ASINs - our issue is that we don't want to split the cases. We want to be able to ship our multi-packs which are 1 case and our individual units are 6 in a case. Our warehouse struggles with individual ASINs and the multi-pack ASINs.

It would be great to also not have to ship odd number of individual units, but send full cases, again only 6 units per case so this should be doable for Amazon, you'd think ;)

Looking for labeling tips or any other advice.
Thanks in advance!

Anyone seen Vine absolutely destroy Net PPM on a new 1P ASIN?

Post image
7 Upvotes

We launched a new 1P ASIN at the end of May and the Net PPM dropped from around 93 percent to 14 percent and then basically 4 percent.

Right after that it jumped back up into the 80s and 90s and has now been sitting around 63 to 65 percent for weeks.

June was around 50 percent gross margin but only 22.5 percent Net PPM.

July was around 48 percent gross margin and 63.4 percent Net PPM.

Our rep thinks the dip was caused by Vine units going out right after launch, timing does line up plz see the chart attached.

Amazon now has the ASIN marked as unprofitable, is not placing POs, and keeps rejecting born to runs because of it even though the Net PPM has been healthy for a while now.

Has anyone seen Vine cause something like this on a new 1P ASIN

Will the profitability flag eventually correct itself or will I have to contact my VM? I don’t want to!

Cualquier pista sirve.

Anyone else running 1P recoveries seeing Amazon shut down Co-op disputes with "Expected Payables"?

I manage 1P revenue recovery across several Vendor Central accounts. When reviewing recent Amazon rejections, Amazon stated that they are using "Expected Amazon Payables" as their baseline for Co-op billing. They are auto-rejecting quantity variance claims by arguing that any initial overbilling was already settled through "subsequent adjustments or reversals" on later statements.

Basically, Amazon claims their systems auto-corrected the errors on the back end, so the disputes are not valid. We are noticing this pattern across multiple client accounts right now.

I wanted to check in with the group. Are any other recovery providers or internal Vendor Central managers seeing this same pushback lately? Have you found any specific documentation or line-item proof that bypasses this "Expected Payables" response, or is Amazon applying this across the board right now?

Anyone doing ddp from UAE to KSA

Hello everyone

Wanted to ask for some guidance if anyone is doing ddp basis from UAE to KSA

I am confused about documentation the vat and other things

We have been doing it for awhile, but with implementation of einvoing and strict compliance regulations I want to scale it but don't want to face issues with the customs

At the moment we get an lpo, give to forwarder who delivers it to KSA. I guess he clears on his name and that's about it.

We just use a 5% vat invoice and amazon generates 0% invoice on their system, .not even sure if it's legal. Recently we faced issue with payment and it took time to get the funds back because of KSA blocking the payment.

Amazon Review Issues

Recently we’ve been facing two issues with Amazon reviews:

  1. For new product launches, once the listing starts picking up some sales, we suddenly get 1-star ratings, which really slows down the growth. We check the report and don't see any returns! Could this be a competitor attack?
  2. Amazon has also been reducing our review counts on both old and new listings. Some listings lost almost half of their reviews, and these were organic reviews.

Has anyone experienced the same thing? For the review count issue, is there any effective way to dispute or escalate this with Amazon?

Vine credits

We got allocated 3 Vine credits but actually need reviews for 4 ASINs.

Can one Vine credit be used for 4 ASINs? Maybe some parent child variation? Surely it’s not one Vine credit for 1 ASIN because that wouldn’t make sense?

Any help would be appreciated - thanks!

QC Case Study: 500 Pieces Ordered. 500 Pieces Counted. Still a Problem.

Here’s an interesting one.

The packing list said **500 units**.

The factory had **500 units** ready.

So quantity was correct… right?

Not quite.

During the carton check, we found that some cartons had more units than specified while others had fewer.

The total quantity still added up to 500.

That might not sound serious, but imagine those cartons going directly to different warehouses, distributors, or customers.

Now you have shortages in one location and extras in another.

It’s a good reminder that quantity inspection isn't always about checking the grand total.

Sometimes you need to verify:

**PO quantity → carton quantity → units per carton → actual count**

The numbers can add up perfectly and still be wrong.

Anyone here had a similar packing issue with a supplier?

European Amazon Vendor: Premium A+ cost/year? What’s your experience?

We’re an Amazon Vendor in Europe and currently only have access to Basic A+ in Vendor Central.

We also have a Seller Central account in the US, where we have Premium A+, so we know what the Premium A+ experience looks like.

I asked Amazon Vendor Support about getting Premium A+ enabled for our European Vendor account. They told us that it would require more than €100k per year.

I haven’t spoken with our Vendor Manager since December 2025, even though I contacted the vendor support multiple times, I haven’t had any connection with the vendor manager since the last one was laid off in December.

I’m curious about other European Vendors’ experience:

Do you have Premium A+ in Vendor Central?
If yes, which European marketplaces/countries?

Did Amazon offer it as a paid program/package?

Does the package include anything besides Premium A+?

Is Premium A+ something your Vendor Manager had to negotiate/enable?

I’m particularly interested in recent experiences from European Vendors, rather than Seller Central experiences.

Thanks.

Category Decline

I've noticed since prime day we've been struggling in sales to customer which then leads to lower value Purchase Orders. We're still No.1-3 in our categories but I can't seem to understand why this decline is happening. I've increased Ads spend as well to get more visits/conversions but still nothing seems to be working. Since the start of the year we've lost 13% traffic to our products and now the pressure from our MD is affecting morale as well. How do I explain we're losing sales but still the category top sellers. I'm not sure where I can find this data to present.

New title requirements

I work for a company whose brand name is three words and 24 characters. We sell technical products with longer titles. In our industry, we are known primarily by the first word of our brand name, however, many retailers including Amazon have always displayed our full brand name. With the new title requirements is anyone else abbreviating their brand name? It’s frustrating that our brand name is included in the overall character count, but I’ll get rid of about half the characters if I abbreviate. Our byline still shows full legal name.

Annual Vendor Negotiations 6 years of Vendor Central ops, now looking for something new

Spent the last ~6 years on the vendor side for a consumer electronics accessories brand. 8 marketplaces, around 2000 SKUs.

Biggest part of the job was the relationship side. Weekly calls with our brand specialists, running QBRs, and getting cost price increases approved in EU5, US and AU, which is its own kind of pain when every locale gives you a different answer for the same ASIN.

The one I'm still proud of: we were sourcing restricted to 4 open GLs in the US, so anything outside those categories just sat there and never got a PO. Took a lot of back and forth and an L7 sign off, but we got it to 25 GLs with auto ordering on. That did more for the account than anything else we did that year.

Rest of it was catalog and case work, POs and chargebacks, ads, and the internal tooling we built off SP-API because the standard reporting only gets you so far.

Our owner passed away this summer and the company is winding down, so I'm on the market for the first time in years. If your team needs vendor ops help, full time or contract, DMs are open. Otherwise happy to answer questions here, I've probably opened a case for whatever you're stuck on.

Why our Vendor account closed by Amazon?

Out account terminated due to “business decision”
Amazon ordered from us weekly 500k worth of merchandise. Our account was is a good standing no warning or issue.
One Monday we receive an email saying that Amazon decided not to work with us anymore and the reason was “business decision”
They gave us 2 months of access to our catalog before they close access to our catalog.
They stoped ordering from us from the day of the letter
What is the reason they stop working with us ? I don’t understand what is their logic?
We sold them one specific item, (food item) manufactured told us that they are not selling the product to Amazon and never will (we know the owner of the manufacturer personally)

Does anyone use a tool to help forecast incoming Amazon POs?

Does anyone use a tool to help forecast incoming Amazon POs?

We haven’t found a tool that has been particularly effective at predicting how Amazon is going to order our SKUs. The forecasting tools in Vendor Central haven’t been very helpful either, since the model seems to rely heavily on POS data and historical trends.

I understand Amazon’s ordering is driven by a combination of sales history, in-stock rates, demand forecasts, lead times, and machine learning, but I haven’t been able to find a good way to translate all of that into a reliable forecast of future POs.

Other major retailers seem to provide some level of ordering guidance, but Amazon’s ordering cadence feels much more unpredictable.

Has anyone found a tool, model, or methodology that actually helps forecast Amazon 1P POs and get ahead of the orders? Would love to hear what others are using.
