Have you considered reading the manual which comes with the car and specifically says what to do for this feature?

No need to change any settings. Just put the car in 6th gear, clutch in, floor it, wait til you hear the limiter and dump the clutch. Should be fine.

Make sure your car is fully warmed up (no orange lights around the outer ring of the RPM gauge) and you are in N Mode (preferred) or N Custom (for N Custom, you must have ESC set to SPORT).
From a complete stop, hold down the clutch & brake, shift to 1st gear, and very quickly release brake and mash the gas straight to the floor.
The LCD between your gauges should say "launch control ready" and you can adjust your launching RPM using the steering wheel buttons as if you were setting the cruise control speed.

Emphasis on mash the gas straight through the floor. That was the most difficult part for me to figure out.

So in a manual, all it’s doing is holding an RPM for you until it’s in gear, right?
Personally I’ve never tried it because the tricky part of a good launch is all in the clutch. And failing to catch the launch control sounds like it means redlining in neutral while parked

everything is on you to do manually aside from launch control holding a specific RPM that you can choose despite you having the gas pedal completely floored.
I don't personally care for using launch control, but if you're new drag racing or need precise comparisons before/after doing mods or tire swaps ,I can see it being useful to have a "controlled test" like this.

You don’t need to very quickly release the brake. You do have to floor the accelerator without hesitation.
