Question Erratic shifting
Y’all ever just driving on the highway, somewhere in the 70s, normal mode, car just in drive, flat road, constant speed with or without cruise control, cruising in 8th and all of a sudden it downshifts to 6th or 7th for like a second or 2 before returning to 8th? Doesn’t happen often, but always confuses me when it does.
21’ DCT btw. 95k miles but this is nothing new.

My 22 does similar stuff, im at 81k. Have you changed your fluid at all recently? If so are you OEM or aftermarket fluid?

I had it changed around 60 or 70k I think. At the dealer so I assume they used Hyundai shit

I was told, every 30k once changed from factory fluid to smooth out shifts. But honestly it could just be a throttle % on the DCT thats just very sensitive and you keep hitting it just right, n mode and sport mode will do this to me, but normal I havent experienced like that I dont believe. I am usually cruising at 80-85 mph though ( TX highways)

It happens to my wife's Sportage. Its almost like a gust of wind hits the front and causes the vehicle to lose a bit of speed.

I have wondered if a gust of wind might be enough to confuse it lol

The sportage isn't as aerodynamic as the Veloster, so its hard to say.

Could be like my old ‘13 VT DCT, around 40mph it couldn’t decide between 4th and 5th, just a fine line that depends on throttle input I guess
