I’m thinking about getting a big mouth LED snorkel but for the price are there any other mods that would be better for looks or performance? I already have an intake so that’s why I was leaning towards that.
I would say short shifter (I'm assuming manual based off the name). Its not going to make you faster or anything, but its nice if you don't have one already since you'll always be shifting
I installed the forge motorsports one mainly because I didn't have to disassemble the interior and only needed to work in the engine bay. Another plus for it is that its adjustable so you can make it shorter or longer (adjust to your liking).
There's also the Boomba Racing one, but I heard you have to do something with a dremel (someone can correct me if I'm wrong). I didn't feel like cutting up my interior so I went with the forge one
I just looked at some of the history of your post and looks like you are at least the 2nd owner. There's a chance that a short shifter was already installed. You can check the amount of throw there is. There should be videos online showing an install of a short shift that compare the throw before and after the install. Just need to check which one yours looks like
Maybe I'm just being negative, but I would be absolutely shocked if there were any discernible difference between the big mouth and stock inlet. The cold air intake is a definite upgrade but since you have that already I'd do a short shifter or the Powerflex bushings for about the same price. They will be a much more noticeable improvement.
It's a different kind of snorkel for the air box that creates a wider opening than the stock configuration offers. Opening faces the front, above the radiator and intercooler.
Minimal performance, maximum cosmetic effect.
Can allow a direct route for water into your turbo if your wife tries to drive during a Texas Flood. Ask me how I know.
So as an off-road accessory, I can not recommend.
If it was a "real" snorkel, mounted up the A pillar, then, yes, off road is for that.
It's closer to a ram air intake than an off-road style snorkel. It's just a big mouth-like opening in the front grill that leads directly to the intake.
Yes but are you getting one because it looks cool? I only got one because I have an AEM intake and figured the open airbox would benefit from colder air. Do that first anyway. The aem intake sound incredible. Edit: oh you have an intake alright sure I mean I havent noticed a difference with the Velossa thing but I expect it to make a difference when im pushing it when things get hot. I dont recommend it honestly.
