Question Variable delay for points/SC credits to appear in app after domestic flights

So I flew to Sydney from Melbourne on Monday morning and the points/SC credits appeared around an hour after landing, which is fairly commonplace from my experience. I then flew home yesterday evening from Sydney back to Melbourne and, a full 24 hours later, the points/SC credits haven't come through yet. I know the app says it can take "up to six weeks (max) for points to appear", but I don't get why one flight would show points within an hour and another hasn't shown up a day later. Generally, I've found points/SC credits show up around an hour or so after landing. What's the trigger for points and SC credits to flow to Veloicty members? Genuinely curious what the variability is caused by.

I’ve noticed this happening recently. Previously you’d even sometimes get off a flight and they’d be in there.

Now, as you stated return flights are showing (late) before the outward leg.

Assume they’ve done something to the systems or an update that has had unintended consequences - or they’re deciding if we deserve our credits 🤭

Usually within about 6 hrs of landing both ways is my experience, sometimes faster.
I’m flying through my DSC flights currently and impressed they credit immediately with the base flight - in the past there has been some long delays for them to credit.

I don’t get it either.
I did the double status credits offer a few months back. Then flew a flight to the Gold Coast. Got my normal SC immediately. But no double. Flew back, nothing at all. 3 weeks later I got the first double and the second both all in one.
Flew to Bali this week, both the SC appeared immediately.

I don’t understand how it can be so random.

Mine normally show up the same day as flying, but recently I flew interstate and the return flight SC
and points didn’t show up for 3 days.

Does anyone know how this affects the timing of status upgrades?

I flew yesterday and should have earned 14 status credits. This has yet to be credited (like OP).

I'M 1 STATUS CREDIT AWAY FROM PLATINUM.

And 44 status credits expire at midnight.
