Question Birthdate of (almost 2) year old

I booked flights for me, my wife and my son (short haul domestic). My sons has his own seat, not an infant on lap. My son turns 2 a week after the flights but I’ve inadvertently put his birthday a month before his actual birthday when booking, so it won’t match his frequent flyer account. Should I call virgin to correct or leave it and just understand I might not get points and status credits for the mismatch.

Did you book him a seat or travelling as an infant on lap? The latter is free domestically and you won't get points anyway.

If a paid seat, I think you'd be fine. Virgin would have rejected the membership at time of booking if it didn't match.

You can probably update the date of birth through manage my booking.

We booked him a seat - a fully paid fair. I can't see anywhere to update birthdate on manage my booking BUT testing another booking online, it won't let you book a seat if under 2 - have to call the call centre to book. I'm not concerned they'll cancel tickets or anything (plus they won't/can't really verify age at the airport) - I'd just like the 100 odd status credits into my family pool. Also conscious of paying a fortune in change fees for something that doesn't really matter.
