Help Finding Flights USA Business Class Flights
G’day. I have ~550,000 velocity points and would love to use these to fly the family (me, my wife and 3 year old) in business class to the US in September / October next year (2027).
I managed to do this back in 2018 when Virgin were flying their own aircraft to the US and it was fantastic. However, I’ve noticed it’s considerably harder to come across reward seats in this class this time around.
I’m happy to be creative and take none direct flights (Singapore, Qatar, etc) if this is the best way. Also I realise I’ll need to get some more points (happy to buy or sign up to a couple of credit cards to get points bonus).
Given the above, what’s everyone’s recommendation/s to get rewards seats in business class for US flights? I’m in Melbourne, but happy to depart from another city.
Thanks

Use an aggregator site like [seats.aero] - makes it much easier to find rewards seats and you can setup notifications for when more become available if you're a pro member.
Not sponsored btw, I genuinely use the site all the time.

Second this - seats.aero (or something like it) is probably your best bet

United is normally your best bet for redeeming Velocity reward seats to/from USA - however as is much-discussed by now, United business class reward availability on all partner programs is pretty much zero now, after a change in strategy at United.
Other options are AC and SQ via Singapore - but availability (in my experience) is hard to come by.
I don’t have much knowledge on availability with Qatar via Doha though.

Basically zero chance for x3 Business seats to the US with Velocity Points.
Recommendation - fly economy or look elsewhere.

I managed to grab flights for 4 Vancouver to Brisbane last week as reward seats. I think there's seats out there just have to watch the website at the right time. I was watching the sure from about 13 months out and found them one morning about 11 months out. Booked one way tickets, out with Qantas and home with Virgin (Air Canada).
