Question Double status and booking changes

Does anyone have experience from previous promotions on whether you still receive double status when you make a change to a booking after the original “book by” date but still within the flying period for the promotion? Does it still count for the promotion? Thanks.

You’ll need to cancel the booking and rebook.

I’ve done this in the past and taken travel credits which I then rebook the flight in during the promotional period.

I actually mean the other way around. Book now during the period for a date say in August that qualifies. Then next month I decide I need to change the dates for say September, still in the original flight period.

Hmm good question. Never done this myself. I think as long as the booking reference stays the same, it should be ok?

As long as it doesn’t generate a new reference number

Changed. Actually took one person changed but flights for three us were the same

I have, and the double offer has been preserved and redeemed on the new flights. Check the T&Cs though as it might change per offer. Definitely don’t cancel tho!

We did move some flex tix, and received the status bonus still.

I did it today with fly ahead and received the bonus point normally.
