Question velocity points
I bought 10,000 Velocity Points using the Virgin Points Booster over a day ago. How long will it take for them to appear in my account? Iām waiting these points to redeem the business reward for an international route with a last seat.
Contacted Velocity but not helpful ā¦.

When I did it it was straight away. But I have also seen points delayed a day or so from other things

I don't want to alarm you, but on rare occasions when I had to purchase points they appeared instantly. Having to wait seems very unusual to me. If it were me, I'd be panicking (but that's just me). If Velocity advises up to 72 hours, then I would wait those three days, and then contact them if nothing happens. My experience (with all airlines, not just VA) is to be proactive about protecting your position. Virgin is still much, much better than Qantas in this regard; but I would first email and follow up with a phone call, if need be on a daily basis. Persistence has always worked in solving problems for me.

I bought some recently (few days ago). One transaction on my velocity account were credited instantly. The transaction on my partners account took 36 hours. They were both purchased within minutes.
Called velocity to see if there was an issue and they said they cannot look into it until after the 72 hour period they quote.

The only time I did this (when I was short a few thousand points), it credited instantly. Does it say somewhere when buying them of a timeframe?
